4:30PM, SILVER MOCCASIN TRAIL, ROCKS AND WILDFLOWERS ( a new hike for me!)
Both parking lots require an Adventure Pass to park there. They are available for $5 at the Shell gas station at the 2 and 210

we will car-convoy 7 miles to the Buckhorn/Mt Waterman trails parking area.

1:00 pm, COOPER FALLS HIKE STARTS, DISTANCE: 7 miles. DOWNHILL then UPHILL BACK.
DIFFICULTY: MODERATE, 1100 feet elevation loss getting there, then 1100 feet elevation gain on the way back
BRING SHOES YOU CAN GET WET!!!
THERE ARE LOTS OF ROCKS TO CLIMB AND MONKEY AROUND UPON!!!!
But the rock scrambling is optional

4:30PM, MEET AT SANTA CLARA DIVIDE ROAD AND HIGHWAY 2 (5 miles back towards LA). THERE IS A PACIFIC CREST TRAIL PARKING LOT THERE. ADVENTURE PASS IS REQUIRED TO PARK HERE.

The Silver Moccasin trail is fairly level. We will play on rocks and smell lilac and lupine flowers. There are also Indian Paintbrush. We will walk about a two mile loop

THERE IS NO CELL PHONE SERVICE HERE.
WATER AND RESTROOMS: THERE IS A STINKY NATIONAL FOREST TOILET BY THE PARKING LOT. ALSO, We will be hiking through a civilized campground that has drinking water and toilets, IF IT IS OPEN....
IF YOU PARK ALONG THE ROAD, YOU DO NOT NEED A $5 ADVENTURE PASS. IF YOU PARK IN THE DAY USE AREA PARKING LOT NEAR THE RESTROOMS, YOU DO NEED AN ADVENTURE PASS.
