We’ll join members Andrea & Alan at Paul Martin's American Grill in El Segundo for dinner this evening. The restaurant has a comfortable and sophisticated look with a kind of elegant rusticity carried out in old brick, wood, zinc, polished concrete floors, soft lighting and hospitable furnishings including an outdoor patio. Their menu features locally sourced organic produce, fish, meats, fowl, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors and custom-made bread from expert bakers. The California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State's fruitful vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling and an interesting array of local craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Their desserts are tempting. Entrees start at $25. This dinner is limited to 12, so sign up soon. We really appreciate it that you bring cash.
