PASS PAUSE PLAY acoustic and songwriters music night.

PASS PAUSE PLAY acoustic and songwriters music night.

Tue, Mar 3, 7:30 AM
From Nauti Studios Glebe Events!

PASS PAUSE PLAY is a night where songwriters come together to pass the mic, pause for a second to tell you a story, and then play their songs in one shared set. Based on a Nashville ‘in-the-rounds’ model - 3-4 artists will take turns playing their songs, going around the circle 3-4 times depending on the show. In between each song, artists are encouraged to respond to one another through questions, reflections, and any tangents that may arise. These ‘between’ moments lead to beautiful insights into songwriting, artistic life, and the nuances in experience in each performer’s work. PASS PAUSE PLAY is a deliberately informal gig space that allows artists and audiences to connect in ways a pub or concert hall might restrict. Audiences and artists have both voiced how the organic conversational moments of these shows are often the most memorable. PASS PAUSE PLAY is held at Nauti Studios Glebe on unceded Gadigal land in Forest Lodge, NSW. Find tickets here: https://events.humanitix.com/host/pass-pause-play

## Neeva Malla ### 19 February – 1 March 2026 ### Opens Wednesday 18 February, 6 – 8pm We’ve been working hard to get this program up and running & it’s finally time to show the fruit of our labour. To open the exhibitions for 2026 is recent National Art School graduate [@neeva_malla](https://www.instagram.com/neeva_malla/) with work made under the Rachael Helmore Emerging Artist Mentoring Program. In memory of Rachael Helmore we have established a sponsored and more formal version of our Mentoring Program. Rachael tragically died in 2023 and we’ve had many people contact us including Christie’s London where Rachael work on a paid internship through Sydney University. Staff at Christie’s London declared Rachael as their best intern ever, and have generously offered to sponsor the program along with the Helmore family. We’re so very grateful to be able to facilitate this program. As part of the mentorship Neeva has been working under the guide of Scratch Director Carmel Byrne and has the use of a free studio at Scratch Art Space for two months to finish off her work. Follow the link for more information on the [Rachael Helmore Emerging Artist Mentoring Program](http://www.scratchartspace.com/rachael-helmore-emerging-artist-mentoring-program/).
