AI Validation, Modern Automation & the Future of QE - 12th Berlin Meetup
Wed, Aug 26, 4:00 PMAI is changing the way we build and test software. As applications become more intelligent, quality engineers face new challenges—from validating non-deterministic AI outputs to building automation frameworks that are faster, smarter, and easier to maintain. Join The Test Tribe Berlin Meetup for an evening of practical insights, real-world case studies, and community discussions on how AI is reshaping software quality, testing, and automation. **Event Details** * Date: 26 August 2026 * Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM CEST * Venue: [SumUp (Entrance via Lange Straße), Koppenstraße 8, 10243 Berlin, Germany](https://maps.app.goo.gl/wryVXXYRXs2r5uvZ8) **What's on the Agenda?** **Session 1: Shift Fast, Test Smart: Full-Stack** **Playwright Automation Powered by Gemini** **Speaker: Smita Mehta ( QA Lead at Schwarz)** Discover how modern Quality Engineering teams can combine UI and API automation into a unified Playwright framework while leveraging Gemini Code Assist to accelerate development. Through practical examples, Smita will demonstrate how AI can simplify Selenium migrations, speed up test creation, improve debugging, and help teams build faster, more resilient automation. **Session 2:** **Visual Regression in AI Applications/AI & LLM Validation in Real-World Systems** **Speaker:** **Osama Hammad, Senior Software Testing Engineer @PaxeraHealth** As AI-powered applications become increasingly common across industries, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and compliance is more important than ever. In this session, Osama will explore how Quality Engineers can move beyond traditional pass/fail testing to validate non-deterministic AI systems. Drawing on practical examples from AI-powered medical imaging and healthcare, you'll learn approaches to building evaluation frameworks, creating AI quality gates, integrating validation into CI/CD pipelines, and navigating evolving regulations such as the EU AI Act. This keeps the medical expertise as a strong differentiator while making it clear that the learnings apply to anyone working with AI systems, regardless of industry. **How This Meetup Solves Your Problem** Whether you're experimenting with AI-powered applications or modernizing your automation strategy, this meetup addresses challenges many engineering teams face today. * Learn techniques for evaluating AI applications where traditional testing falls short. * Discover how to build more resilient automation with Playwright and AI-assisted development. * Explore ways to reduce flaky tests, speed up automation, and improve engineering productivity. * Gain insights directly from practitioners solving these challenges in production environments. **Why You Should Show Up** Because Quality Engineering is evolving rapidly, and staying ahead means learning from those building the future today. Meet fellow testers, automation engineers, SDETs, and technology leaders from Berlin's thriving testing community. Exchange ideas, ask questions, expand your professional network, and leave with practical strategies you can immediately apply to your projects. **Become a Speaker at The Test Tribe events:** Wish to share your insights with the community at a future event? Submit your talk idea [here](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc8xebmOBD2WYXwGKWj7GteY-tMLaj-aZzQk88MAsE0LUiMUQ/viewform?utm_source=luma) and our team will get back to you, if the idea resonates with them too. **About The Test Tribe** The Test Tribe is the world's largest software testing community, empowering testers globally since 2018. With 700+ events and 150K+ members across 130+ countries, we bring testers together to learn, grow, and connect through meetups, conferences, cohorts, masterclasses, and more. Cybersecurity × AI: Berlin's Builders, Breakers & Backers #2
Wed, Aug 26, 5:00 PMAI has changed both sides of the security equation at once. Attackers are automating reconnaissance, phishing, and exploit development at a scale that didn't exist two years ago. Defenders are shipping agents that triage alerts, patch code, and hunt threats faster than any SOC team could. And an entirely new attack surface — the models themselves — is being built into products before anyone has agreed on how to secure it. Berlin has quietly become one of Europe's densest clusters of people working on exactly this problem: security founders, ML engineers, red teamers, CISOs, researchers, and the investors funding them. This meetup is an attempt to get them in one room. **⚠️ Attendance is limited and by application only** We're capping this event at **10 people**. The reason is deliberate: we'd rather have a room where everyone present is actually working in this space than a large room where most people are browsing. Smaller rooms mean better conversations and a much higher chance you meet the two or three people who matter for what you're building. To be considered, apply here: [https://luma.com/13bgbude](https://luma.com/13bgbude) The form takes about two minutes. We'll ask for: * Your name and where you work * What you're building, investing in, or researching * Your role (founder / engineer / security lead / investor / researcher / other) * What you're hoping to get out of the evening We review applications on a rolling basis and confirm attendees by email. Applying early genuinely helps — once we're at capacity we close the list. If you're not selected this time, you'll be first in line for the next one. **What to expect** * [2–3 short talks] from founders and practitioners building at the intersection — offensive AI, AI-native defense tooling, securing LLM applications, compliance under the EU AI Act * An open Q&A where hard questions are welcome * Long-form networking **Who we're looking for** Founders (pre-idea to Series B), security engineers and researchers, red teamers, CISOs and security leads, VCs and angels active in the space, and serious people looking to move into it.
