AI, Startups & Ideas Coffee Meetup ☕

Fri, Aug 28, 1:30 AM
From AMS CG

Looking for genuine conversations beyond the usual networking events? Join us for a relaxed coffee meetup where **founders, researchers, engineers, students, investors, professionals, and curious minds** can meet, connect, and exchange ideas. This isn't a pitch event. There are **no presentations, no speakers, and no fixed agenda** — just good coffee and interesting conversations. Topics can include (but aren't limited to): 🤖 **Artificial Intelligence** 🚀 **Startups & Entrepreneurship** 💰 **Finance & Investing** 📈 **Economics** 📊 **Data Science** 🔬 **Research & PhDs** 🏛️ **Public Policy** 🌍 **International Careers** 💡 **Technology & Innovation** Whether you're building a company, doing research, considering a PhD, changing careers, working on a side project, or simply curious about the future, you're welcome. Having spent time across **France, the U.S., Portugal, Belgium, Germany, and the UK**, I also wanted to create a space where people from different backgrounds can meet and exchange perspectives. If you're interested in **international opportunities, studying or working abroad, startups and research across Europe and the U.S., or simply meeting people with different experiences**, feel free to bring those conversations too. But there's no specific theme you have to stick to. **The idea is simple: interesting people, different perspectives, and conversations that can go anywhere.** ☕ Come for a coffee. 💬 Stay for great conversations. 🌍 Everyone is welcome. Looking forward to meeting everyone! If you have trouble finding the group, feel free to message me on LinkedIn: **Eric Huang Lin**. **Hosted by AMS CG**

Sunday Badminton - 11am Open Session

Sunday Badminton - 11am Open Session

Sun, Aug 30, 9:00 AM
From Paris Badminton Group
4.8

Hi Badminton Fans! Come and join us every Sunday for a fun session of badminton. There are usually 2 sessions to choose from, **This 11 am - Open Session is open to players of all levels.** **If you are a complete beginner -** Talk to us first before signing up, and we can try to make accommodations and maybe have beginners-only court to begin with, with one of the organisers ready to explain all of the basics, such as serving, scoring, rules etc, as well as some pointers to help you progress. **Which Session To Choose** If you're unsure of your level, sign up for the 11am session to start, or ask us! We will try our utmost to ensure that you play with people of similar levels. **What Do You Need** Don't worry about equipment; racquets and shuttlecocks are provided, and there's no need for a badminton license or insurance. Just bring your indoor sports shoes, and a willingness to meet new friends and have lots of fun. There are changing rooms and showers. **Get There Early** Try and get there early to change and get warmed up so that we can start right on time. The courts are normally not being used before we play, so we can get a little extra time playing. **Registration & Payments** Registration is 14€ per person, and you can sign up via PayPal through this event page. For alternative payments, check for available slots on the event page first. Then, submit your payment via https://revolut.me/jonathwu3q with a description of which event you are signing up for, and send the screenshot to one of us so that we can add you. *Please Note: If your name is **not** in the attendees list and you do not have confirmation from us, you will be turned away.* **Annual Membership Option** For regular players, there is the option to take out an annual membership. This costs 80€ for the first year and is renewable each year for 40€. This reduces the weekly registration fee to only 10€ per session. **No Refunds** In the case of a cancellation or no-show, there are no refunds. See you all on the court on Sunday. Happy badminton-ing! Kelvin (0603250357) and Vijay (0767341832), **FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS** 1. I don’t speak French, can I join? * Yes! We are an international group and everyone speaks English! 2. Are there still available slots? I can’t sign up! Help! * Check the bottom of the event page for availabilities. Once full, RSVPs will be closed. Sign up as early as possible because the events fill up very quickly. 3. I signed up, but I can’t make it! Can I get a refund? * No refunds for cancellations or no-shows. If you inform us early enough, we can try to find a substitute and refund you, but no guarantees. 4. Why can’t I get a refund? * We need a fixed number of participants to maximize court usage, court fees, team arrangements, and team rotations. Cancelations throw all of this off. 5. Do I need to bring anything? Water? Racquets? Birdies? * If you have your own racquet, that will be best! Otherwise, we have spare ones and we provide the shuttlecocks. Bring enough water to hydrate yourself.
