Honest Feedback - Say It, For Real
Sat, Sep 12, 6:00 AMHow often do you really say what you think? We all have opinions. About someone's work. Someone's outfit. A friend's behaviour. A business. A restaurant. Even ourselves. But how often do we actually say what we mean? Instead, we soften the truth, say what we think people want to hear, avoid awkward conversations, give five-star reviews we don't really mean - or keep our thoughts entirely to ourselves. And when someone finally gives us honest feedback we become defensive, dismissive or defeated. What if we got better at both sides of the equation? "**Honest Feedback**" is an evening of playful simulations designed to help you become better at giving, receiving and using honest feedback. We'll explore what happens inside us when we're asked to tell the truth - the desire to look good, avoid looking bad, protect someone's feelings, protect ourselves, or simply keep the peace. Because honest feedback isn't about being brutally honest for the sake of it. It's about creating enough awareness, courage and trust to discover what is actually useful, and then deciding what to do with it. Imagine having the confidence to ask, "What do you really think?" and the ability to hear the answer. Imagine being able to tell someone what they genuinely need to hear without tearing them down. Imagine how much improvement in our careers, relationships, businesses and everyday lives if we could do both at will. **WHO THIS IS FOR** * people who want to become better at communicating what they really think and feel. * people who struggle to give feedback because they don't want to offend, upset or disappoint others. * entrepreneurs and professionals who want better feedback from customers, colleagues, clients or the people around them. * and anyone who wants to just be more honest! 🎟️ Register to attend: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1634825 Ticket includes drinks, snacks and a vegetarian meal. **ABOUT** **Utopia Rising** delivers unconventional social experiences for self-improvement seekers looking to broaden their network or simply be inspired by life again. It’s a party reimagined - alcohol-free, featuring healthy plant-based food.

This Could Be Yours.** For general enquiries or booking your slot, contact us at: [info@mangates.com](info@mangates.com) +61 (0) 2 80155605 **Course Overview:** **The Moment Before the Words Come Out** She'd rehearsed the pitch a dozen times in her head. But the moment the room went quiet and every eye turned to her, the words came out smaller than she meant them to. That moment is familiar to almost every woman who's ever had something important to say. What's less familiar is what happens after, when she learns exactly how to close that gap between what she knows and what the room actually hears. **A Day That Changes the Next Room You Walk Into** Picture this: a woman walks into a leadership meeting, opens with a real example instead of a disclaimer, holds the room's attention through a tough question, and closes with a message that actually moves people to act. That's not a natural gift. That's a set of specific, learnable skills, and it's exactly what this one-day program is built to teach. **How the Day Unfolds** * **Module 1: Communication Psychology** — She learns why her audience reacts the way it does, and how to read the room before she speaks a word. * **Module 2: Persuasive Messaging** — She restructures her message, layering logic, emotion, and credibility until it actually lands. * **Module 3: Storytelling for Influence** — She turns a personal experience into a message the room won't forget. * **Module 4: Voice and Body Language** — Her posture straightens. Her pace slows. Her voice carries differently. * **Module 5: Engagement and Attention** — She notices the room leaning in, not checking their phones. * **Module 6: Q&A and Pressure Situations** — A tough question comes. She doesn't flinch, she has a framework for exactly this. * **Module 7: Authentic Influence** — She stops performing confidence and starts speaking from what she actually believes. * **Module 8: The Master Speaker's Toolkit** — By the end of the day, she has more than a good feeling. She has a system she can use again and again. **What Changes By the End** Attendees leave able to: * Communicate with confidence, clarity, and professional authority * Design and deliver persuasive, authentic presentations * Demonstrate refined presence through voice, body language, and composure * Navigate tough questions and high-pressure moments with strategic calm * Use storytelling and psychology to inspire real action * Walk away with a personal framework for continued growth **Who Finds Themselves Here** * Women professionals ready to be seen and heard * Women entrepreneurs and business owners pitching ideas or services * Women leaders and managers guiding teams through uncertainty * Women returning to the workforce, rebuilding their voice * Women students, community leaders, and aspiring speakers finding theirs for the first time **This Isn't Watched from the Sidelines** Every attendee speaks, practices, and receives real feedback, live, in the room. She doesn't sit back and take notes while someone else models the skill, she's the one standing at the front, adjusting her pace, catching herself mid-sentence, trying it again until it feels right. What's described above isn't hypothetical, it's what happens to almost everyone who walks through the door. **Bring This to Your Organization** Picture an entire team of women walking into their next high-stakes meeting the same way, prepared, composed, and ready to be heard. This program is available as a customized in-house session, on-site or virtual, with group pricing for organizations ready to build that version of their team together. 📧 Contact us today to schedule a customized in-house session: [corporate@mangates.com](mailto:corporate@mangates.com) **©2026 Mangates Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd. This content is protected by copyright law. Copy or Reproduction without permission is prohibited.** **FAQs** **1\. Do I need any prior public speaking experience to attend?** No, this program is designed for women at every stage, from those who feel anxious speaking up to those refining an already-strong voice. **2\. Will I actually get to practice speaking\, or is this mostly lecture\-based?** You'll speak, practice, and receive real feedback throughout the day. Every module includes guided speaking exercises, not passive listening. **3\. What if I freeze up or panic when asked a tough question?** Module 6 is built exactly for giving you strategic frameworks to stay composed and respond confidently under pressure. **4\. Is this only for senior leaders and executives?** Not at all, the program is designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, managers, students, community leaders, and anyone rebuilding or strengthening their voice. **5\. Will this help me if I need to pitch my business or ideas\, not just speak at work?** Yes, Module 2 and Module 3 focus specifically on persuasive messaging and storytelling, both directly applicable to pitching. **6\. What if my voice or body language undermines my message?** Module 4 addresses this directly covering vocal tone, pacing, posture, and gestures that convey confidence and command attention. **7\. Is this suitable for someone returning to the workforce after time away?** Yes, the program is specifically designed to help rebuild confidence and professional presence, regardless of how long you've been away. **8\. How is authenticity addressed\, since a lot of speaking training feels like "performing"?** Module 7 focuses specifically on aligning your communication with your real values, so your delivery feels genuine, not performed. **9\. Can this be customized for our organization's leadership team?** Yes, group sessions can be tailored to your organization's context and delivered on-site or virtually, with group pricing available. **10\. What do I actually leave with at the end of the day?** A practical framework covering all eight core speaking competencies, real feedback from live practice, and a personal speaking development plan you can build on going forward.

Working with Systemic Coaching & Constellation - an experiential workshop
Thu, Sep 24, 7:30 AM**Calling Sydney coaches, supervisors, OD people and anyone who gets slightly excited when somebody says, “Maybe there’s more going on here than meets the eye…”** The Association for Coaching has a terrific **in-person experiential workshop** coming up on **24 September** exploring **Systemic Coaching and Constellations**. Ingrid van der Aa and Amy Miszalski will take us beyond talking *about* systemic coaching and give participants an opportunity to actually experience some of the stance and practice behind it. And this, for me, is where systemic work gets interesting. A client may arrive talking about confidence, conflict, career choices or leadership — but sitting behind that presenting issue can be a whole network of relationships, expectations, loyalties and organisational dynamics. Sometimes we need to widen the lens. This workshop will introduce that broader perspective and give participants one or two practical ways to start bringing systemic thinking into everyday coaching conversations. **Thursday 24 September** 5\.30pm arrival \| 6\.00–7\.30pm Randstad, Level 9, 83 Clarence Street, Sydney Open to AC members and non-members, with CPD certification for attendance. Come along — and feel free to tag a coach or colleague who might enjoy exploring this space with us.
