Thu, Oct 22, 10:30 PMWelcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… IMPORTANT: 1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
Board games at The Forge
Wed, Oct 28, 10:00 PM**Cost**: We do not require a fee to attend the events and The Forgehas graciously reserved us space to mee. We urge everyone to take full advantage of their drink selection and restaurant menu. The Forge has a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. does have a full bar and kitchen. in order to keep the event free, we want to average $20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each and we encourage you to try the mocktails as a level up! Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! **Parking**: We ask all attendees to park in the overflow lot located behind the Mexican restaurant next door unless of course you have mobility needs and need to park in the Forge Lot out front. **Gaming**: The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. **when you arrive**: The Forge staff can direct you to our reserved area and a group event host can help you find a table and get going on something fun! Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. **Prohibited behavior** We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. This includes especially, harassment or disrespectful behavior towards attendees and Forge staff. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area.

Halloween Costume Karaoke and glow bowling party
Fri, Oct 30, 11:45 PMFriday, October 30 Get out of the house, put on a costume, and join us for a spooky night of karaoke, glow bowling, and meeting new people! Make new friends, have fun, and take a break from scrolling. Come solo, bring a friend, or come as a couple no bowling skills or karaoke experience needed. **Not a bowler?** No worries **neither am I! I’m actually pretty bad.** I go for the pizza, beer, and great conversations. **Come bow**l, sing, hang out, & enjoy the company. **Plan to arrive at 8:00 PM**. Karaoke starts at 8:00 PM, and everyone **must be checked in by 8:45 PM**. After checking in, hang out in the bar, enjoy karaoke, and mingle while we wait for our bowling lanes to be ready. **$20 per person** includes bowling and shoe rental**. Exact cash is preferred** to help check-in move quickly. Sequoia Pro Bowl is **graciously reserving lanes 1–10 for 2+ hours our group.** When you check in, you’ll draw a number to find out which lane you’re on. **This helps mix everyone up for a fun social mixer.** Couples will be on lanes **right next to each other.** Let’s **support the venue** and pack the house! Wear a costume, bring your karaoke energy, and come ready to meet people. ⚠️ **Waiver Required** Everyone must sign the participation waiver before arriving.
