We are locked in for our first casual meet-and-greet next Saturday morning. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to try something fun and meet some great local folks, come on out. FANG Con board game marathon

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26th from 11am - 10:30pm We're celebrating our SECOND year hosting game events for fem and non-binary folks in the Columbus, Ohio area! Come celebrate with us at our 11.5 hour board game marathon - it's co-ed! FANG is an all fem board game club, but on this day we're open for everyone! This is a co-ed open house celebration! ---- Registration This year we are registering people through Tabletop Events! A badge is $2! We normally have free events, but the $2 will cover a small portion of the venue fee and greatly help us! We also except donations. You can donate via Ko-Fi (ko-fi.com/fang_columbus) or Venmo (@FANG_Columbus). We also having a few raffles you can participate in to help us fund this event! Any donations beyond the venue go to our club. It funds our email blast, name tags, stickers, and cool things for our members and volunteers like T-shirts! There is limited capacity and can accommodate up to 100 guests at a time. With that in mind, we ask that you only register if you're confident you'll be able to attend. If your plans change, no worries, just be sure to cancel your ticket so we can offer your spot to someone else who’d love to join us. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. If you would like to bring snacks to share you can add them to the pile in the kitchen. A microwave is available for your use, and while there is a refrigerator, bringing a cooler for your food is recommended. We are collecting pizza money if you would like in on pizza. We will pick up preordered pizza from Costco around 5 or 6pm. You can order your share of the pizza through our events. ---- About Us Fem All Night Gaming (FANG) is an all fem board game group in Columbus, Ohio. We are creating a space that celebrates gaming and the diversity of femininity. We are women, gender queer, & non-binary only. No cis-men. Sunday funday: let's play dodgeball at Scioto Audubon park

Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.

The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Tensors, Tokens & Too Much VRAM: A Developer's Guide to Running LLMs Locally* What actually happens when you send a prompt to an LLM? What are tokens, tensors, attention, quantization, and all those mysterious gigabytes of VRAM doing? And why does your GPU suddenly become the most important piece of hardware in the room? This talk takes a developer-friendly tour through the fundamentals of modern LLMs. We’ll try to demystify concepts like context windows, model quantization, and inference performance without requiring a PhD in linear algebra. Then we'll take those concepts out of the textbook and into the real world, looking at tools such as Ollama, LM Studio, and vLLM and what it takes to run useful models on your own hardware. By the end, you'll have a mental model for what an LLM is actually doing, how local inference works, and why sometimes the answer to "How much VRAM do I need?" is apparently "all of it." **YouTube Link** TBD
