**Board Game Night (Beginner Friendly, Social & Structured)** Meet new people at our host led boardgame night, sit down, learn a game, and start playing within minutes. **Who this is for** - People who work a 9–5 and want to meet people after work or on the weekends doing something fun. - You want something social and structured - You want attend a host guided boardgame night. **The Event** This is a hosted board game night. You don’t need to know any games. We teach everything. provide name tags, and games. Most people are new and come alone. **Small groups (limited spots)** Tables of 4–8 people Usually 30 total spots If you see a spot you can make, take it. Evergreen Games

'Evergreen Games' is back. This one day event is to raise money for the Cure Brain Cancer foundation. There will be open gaming space for everyone to come and play your favourite board games in, and we are planning other events to help raise money for charity, such as a raffle for some great games. A suggested donation of $10 will be charged for entry (children free), after which you can come and go throughout the day. For those new to modern board gaming, we will have volunteers ready to help select and teach new, interesting games from our extensive library of modern board games that will be available to play on the day. The Clyde has a large room to accomodate around 100 people, and a fully-licensed bar and restaurant, so food and drink can be purchased during the day (please do not bring your own food or drink along). Save the date, RSVP and please do spread the word - sharing this event or inviting others is a great way to let them know this is happening, and help make this event a huge success. This annual convention has been established to commemorate the life of a dear friend and gamer Simon "Evergreen" Pearce who enjoyed and gave so much to the hobby, before being taken from all of us far too soon, and to raise money to help fight the cancer that took him from us. 6pm start. $2 gold coin entry per person. Please order dinner at the bar when you arrive and let the staff know you are with the card group in the Dining Room. Meals are served around 7:15pm. Happy Hour drinks are available until 7pm. After a dinner break we shuffle the teams around so you get to meet, and play with new people. Games are played as 4 handed wherever possible, but an occasional 3,5 or 6 handed game is required based on the number of attendees. If you are a beginner or have minimal experience playing 500, please let your host know before starting a game, and feel free to ask them any question. Ahead of the event you might like to download one of the 500 card game apps on your phone to get familiar with the game. There are also some Youtube videos.

We're back (again)! At the Boyd Community Hub, Southbank. We'll aim to have 30 minutes of introduction and tutorial, with a 6pm start to our first game, so please be ON TIME. **What to Expect:** Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game requiring a storyteller to take a roughly a dozen people through a series of "days and nights" where townspeople try to identify and hunt down a *demon* before they become the hunted. **Beginners welcome!** You don't need to know how to play **AT ALL**, so please invite a friend, we will run a tutorial for those who need it. **NOTE** BOTC requires fluent English, the crux of this game is communication and deception. **2 Strike Policy** Late-leavers: attendees who cancel within 24 hours of the event. No-shows: attendees who mark themselves as “going” but don’t turn up. Someone who does either of these once will be forgiven but flagged. On a second offence, they will be removed. Long-time regulars will be afforded some leniency. Legitimate reasons will be considered for leniency.

A roleplay-focused puzzle adventure. **The Cost of Ascension is Betrayal** You find yourself standing outside a crumbling monastery, which contains the entry to a dungeon containing The Ascendant Heart. Held by a series of heroes and villains, only two things are known for sure about this artefact: it confers near god-like power to the one who holds it, and all who have held it have died from betrayal. Do you trust your companions? For what purpose have you sought godlike power? And what will you do to achieve it? A dungeon-crawl for 3rd level characters, includes puzzles, solo and team roleplay, and combat.

Join us for an evening of games at Watsonia Library. Every fourth Friday we bring a selection of games from the club’s ever growing library as well as choice games from our own personal collections. Feel free to bring your own! **Venue change:** Due to works in the library activity room, we will be meeting at the Watsonia Neighbourhood House, 47 Lambourn Rd, Watsonia. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Where do we play? We play in the community room at Watsonia Library. What do we play? There will be a range of games available, from beginner to more experienced. We play modern board and card games that are fun and relatively easy to learn. We are more than happy for new people of all experience levels to come and we are always eager to teach. Thematic: Voidfall, Dune (Original), Root, Eclipse, Nemesis, Spirit Island, Undaunted, Chaos in the Old World, The Godfather, Spartacus and Dominant Species. **Arrive early** The best time to arrive is around 6:50pm as people discuss which games they would like to play before starting longer games at 7:00pm. Arrive early and we can ensure that you are included in a game. However, should you arrive after 7:00pm you may need to wait for games to finish to be included, or if people are playing long games, it might not be practical to start a new game. **Full bar and snacks available** The Caulfield RSL generously provide the venue free of charge. A selection of food and drinks are available for purchase at the bar. Note that only food or drink purchased at the RSL can be consumed at the venue. We look forward to seeing you!
