Come along to the Ping Pong Social at Bounce Battersea Power Station to unwind, meet likeminded people and of course show off your whiff whaff skills! This event is crafted to serve both serious Table Tennis players with lots of challenges & tournaments, as well as the social players with tailor made games for singles, couples, colleagues & friends. With music playing and drinks flowing you will be able to choose from a variety of creative and quirky games including Ping Pong Tournaments, Social Doubles, Round Pong, Weapon Pong etc. There will be prizes for winners that include bottle of Prosecco & Medals and free entry to future events. We are usually by tables 7,8,9,10 this is where you should meet us. We are a friendly bunch of locals. Some of us are new to board games, whilst others have a few years experience of playing and teaching our games. We always try to make newcomers feel welcome… come and check us out! Wednesday nights start off with a mix of quick, lightweight fun stuff as people arrive. Then we move onto playing a wide range of games to suit the tastes of whoever shows up on the night. We often revert back to lighter games before we head home. We usually have around 12 to 24 people turn up, so don’t believe the attendance numbers you see on here… We have a lovely WhatsApp community that you can join when you attend this event. Please ask one of the organisers to add you in.

Hi everyone! (pre-pandemic information) If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us on Monday evenings from 6pm until the pub closes around 11pm. Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't as regular members will bring some along. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can join us any time before closing (11pm), so if you don't arrive at 6pm (attendees tend to arrive around 6:30 or 7pm), don't worry :-) Everyone comes and goes when they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or the last to leave, Please write in the comments what time you expect to arrive at the pub, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Events are free to attend, but it is respectable to the public venues we hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present, just like anyone else at the pub would do. If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy the host(s) a drink of their choice when you see them, for which they'd be very grateful. This event will run alongside my **Crafternoon Tea gathering**, so feel free to also bring along any crafts, reading, colouring, journaling, or other creative projects you’re working on and of course Games I look forward to meeting you. If you're looking for a laid back Saturday playing some board games and talking nerd stuff in a pub with some awesome people, this is the meetup for you! Feature Game: # Canvas Canvas is a beautiful game about making beautiful paintings. In Canvas, you are a painter competing to win an art contest. What makes it unique is the use of sleeves and transparent cards to create a unique painting. Players start with 3 sleeved background cards and over the course of the game will gain art cards from a central display. Often they will need to pay for the cards they want by placing inspiration tokens on the cards they skip. The end card is always free. On your turn, you will either take an art card and any inspiration on it or make a painting. You can have a maximum of 5 art cards in hand, so if you hit that max you must make a painting. To make a painting you take exactly three of your art cards and arrange them in the order you want. The art cards are transparent apart from some sort of painted element (part of a landscape or an object), a title, and some icons on the bottom. Once arranged you slip them into one of the sleeved background cards creating your art, title and all! You are aiming to have icons showing in a way that scores you the most points. However, some may be covered up unless you place them on top. But then you might be covering other icons you want! You will then score your painting against the 5 scoring objectives. Each one awards a ribbon for each time you achieve that goal. So if a goal requires two triangles and you have four, you would take two ribbons as you have achieved it twice. At the end, the ribbons score points according to the table at the bottom of their goal card. It’s a simple game that perfectly meshes theme and gameplay, in a way not often seen, With its clever use of transparent cards and sleeves it is a winner for showing off the hobby while having a ruddy good time! **Player count:** 1-5 **Time:** 30 minutes **Age:** 14+
