Come join us! 🫶🏽 We’re starting a new adult pick-up soccer community right here in Canarsie, Brooklyn. Whether you’re an experienced player or just want to come out, have fun, and get some touches on the ball, everyone is welcome. 📅 EVERY FRIDAY ⏰ 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM 📍 Canarsie, Brooklyn (Baseball field 2) ⚽️ HOW IT WORKS This is a casual pick-up game, not a competitive league. We’ll organize teams when everyone arrives, so everyone gets a chance to play. No need to have a team or know anyone beforehand — just show up, meet people, and play! 👟 What to bring: • Soccer shoes/sneakers • Water • Comfortable athletic clothes • Good vibes! 😄 We’re just getting started and our goal is to build a friendly, active soccer community for adults in Canarsie and the surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods. Rebecca is hosting again this week with soooo many games to bring and get to the table! (Please RSVP to let me know you are likely to come, even if it's a "maybe" so I can plan on games to bring.). Also, if you had a game form last week you like and you'd like me to be sure to bring again, let me know! ALL are welcome, including first-timers and non-gamers. Arrive anytime; if games are mid-play, there may be a short wait—but plenty of good food, games to browse, and people to chat with in the meantime. We’re always happy to teach games, so no experience needed! ENTRY IS ALWAYS FREE (but, we do ask to Please purchase about $15-$20 of food or drinks from our host! ) - other options listed below if that just isn't something you can do! (everyone is welcome!) • Please support our amazing host, Fred’s Restaurant, who generously shares their event space with us, allowing us to have our own private area each week. They give us exceptional service and a private space for free, so lets make sure they are taken care of through our food and drink orders & we can keep using this wonderful space with such a kind and generous host! • If you just can't financially purchase food/drinks on a particular night, that's ok, still come! I just ask that you send me a private message to let me know and that way I can plan ahead. I never want anyone to feel they can't come due to funds.. If you don't recognize the games, don't worry, everyone is happy to teach new players the rules. And feel free to bring your own board games if you wish. Between all of us, there's usually a large selection of games to choose from. In order to support our awesome, not-too-loud, well-lit venue, each person must purchase something to eat or a few drinks. ***\*\*\*Again, there is a $15 minimum per person.****\*\*\** *** We always welcome new people & we're all here to have fun, but we do have a few ground rules that we ask everyone to be aware of: * Treat everyone in the group with respect & do not discriminate. However, if you're responsible for ruining someone else's game by spilling a beverage or food on it, the right thing to do is to offer to purchase a new copy for them. Some of the games we bring are out of print so please treat every board game with respect. * If a game is accidentally ruined by a staff member, everyone at the table should pitch in to buy a new one for the owner.
