Blood on the Clocktower at BRLO Brwhaus!! (beginner/intermediate)

Blood on the Clocktower at BRLO Brwhaus!! (beginner/intermediate)

Sun, Apr 12, 1:00 PM
From Berlin Board Gamers
4.8

Hi folks, this is the special meetup group for the weekly Sunday Blood on the Clocktower games in at BRLO Brwhaus in Berlin. We run beginner-friendly and intermediate-level games throughout the afternoon and evening. **Friendly newcomers of all skill levels are welcome, no experience required!** Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. We are usually able to offer two simultaneous games on Sundays. If you are marked as "attending" in Meetup and are in your seat at 15:00, your place is guaranteed for as long as you want to stay. All other seats are first come, first served. We always run at least one beginner-friendly game of the basic version of Clocktower ("Trouble Brewing") throughout the afternoon and evening. We also usually have enough players for a second intermediate-level game. If you are already very familiar with Clocktower, consider also joining our Tuesday meetup for advanced players, when we play with complex custom scripts and characters. Blood on the Clocktower is a deep, mechanical game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception… think Werewolf on steroids. Each player receives a unique secret role and plays either for the good team – the uninformed majority, gathering info and working with others to solve the puzzle – or the evil team, the informed minority, scheming to eliminate good players and protect their demon from execution. In our beginner games no prior experience is expected and we will gladly explain the game rules to any newcomers. We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a “Revolutionary” pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case.

The first quadrant in astrology and spring signs: Aries, Taurus & Gemini

The first quadrant in astrology and spring signs: Aries, Taurus & Gemini

Tue, Apr 21, 4:30 PM
From Berlin Astrology
4.8

In this session we'll be discussing the first quadrant in astrology - the first, second and third houses, as well as the spring signs, Aries, Taurus and Gemini. In astrology, the **First Quadrant** is all about **the development of the self**—your identity, instincts, and how you begin interacting with the world. It covers the first three houses of the birth chart and represents the earliest stage of personal growth. This section of the chart is often called the **“personal quadrant”** because it focuses on **self-awareness and individual needs**, before we fully engage with others. ## The Bigger Meaning of the First Quadrant Together, these houses describe a journey: 1. **Discover yourself** (1st House) 2. **Establish your worth and resources** (2nd House) 3. **Learn to interact and communicate** (3rd House) It’s like the **early stage of life development**—from being born, to understanding your needs, to starting to speak and relate. We will also be looking at the spring signs and the most significant upcoming transits such as the impressive Aries stellium in April, Uranus' ingress into Gemini (it will stay in the sign until 2033) and Chiron's ingress into Taurus in June. **Guidelines**: – Start: 18:30 sharp (arrive earlier if you like) – Please stay on the topic of astrology – Respect, warmth, and honesty are essential – Kindly RSVP in advance, as we need to confirm with the venue Warm regards, Finja, Maca, Sara & Julian *We collect a 5€ cash contribution on site to support the platform costs.*

Let’s Play Azul & CATAN - Play and socialize

Let’s Play Azul & CATAN - Play and socialize

Sun, Apr 19, 10:00 AM
From Backgammon Berlin
4.9

Join our **CATAN** Meetup to play, socialize, and enjoy this classic board game. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. Expect fun, friendly games, plenty of laughter, and the chance to make new friends. This is a relaxed, casual meetup: **no hardcore competition**, just friendly rivalry. 👉 **Please RSVP only if you plan to attend.** **👉 Most people on the waiting list would be moved to the “Going” list.** **How to Play (Quick Guide):** *** Setup: **Build the island with hex tiles, place number tokens, roads, settlements, and give each player starting resources.** *Turn order: **On your turn, roll two dice to produce resources, then trade and build.*** Resource production: **Players gain resources (wood, brick, sheep, wheat, ore) from tiles next to their settlements/cities when the tile’s number is rolled.** *Robber: **If a 7 is rolled, players with too many cards discard half; move the robber to block a tile and steal a card. *NOTE: Friendly robber rule: We play with the friendly robber rule, which means that the robber cannot be placed on a player with less than 3 points.**** Trading: **Trade resources with other players or with the bank (usually 4:1, better with ports).** *Building: **Spend resources to build roads, settlements, cities, or buy development cards.*** Victory points: **Earn points from settlements, cities, development cards, Longest Road, and Largest Army.** *Winning: **The first player to reach 10 victory points on their turn wins. *2-Hours-Max: If no one reaches 10 points by the end of the second hour, the player with the most points wins. This keeps our game capped at **two hours**. ⏰️ **Our Game Set-Up & Attendance Policy:** 1. We will have two CATAN sets available for up to six players each, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. 2. Since each game takes a considerable amount of time, arriving after a game has already started may make it difficult to place you at a table. 3. In such cases, you may need to place your first two settlements on the remaining available parts of the map—if space allows. 4. Please make sure to update your RSVP in advance. Failure to do so may cause unnecessary delays for everyone at the start. 5. Not showing up without notice will result in being blacklisted for at least one future meetup.
