Unicycle Club Practice at Circus Center

Any skill level is welcome (even if you’ve never been on a unicycle before). Participation is free, but a voluntary donation to Circus Center is recommended. If you don’t have your own unicycle or don’t bring it, then Circus Center will provide one for you to use at these practices. **SAFETY** -Do not attend if you feel sick -Protective gear (helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards, gloves, knee/shin guards, ankle braces, etc.) is highly recommended **REQUIREMENTS** -All ages are welcome, but anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult at all times -Everyone who comes to these practices is required to take at least one unicycle class at Circus Center with Ying Ying Zhao (this doesn’t necessarily have to be before your first practice session) -Paper waiver needs to be signed before participating (this will be provided) -QR code for voluntary donation will be provided **RULES FOR PRACTICING AT CIRCUS CENTER** -If you’re wearing street shoes and/or are bringing your own unicycle, then you must wipe your shoes and unicycle tire with a towel (this will be provided) before stepping on the mats -Helmet is required if you want to do anything other than riding or practicing tricks on a flat surface (hopping onto/off of objects, etc.)

OBR's 3rd Annual Halloween Costume Run from Beeryland

*This year's Halloween Costume Run will be from Beeryland Oakland. Bring and wear your favorite (run-able) costume on this night, OBR!* We will meet at Beeryland (aka Telegraph Beer Garden) by 6:30pm, start the run 10 minutes later, run around the lake (a little above 3.7 miles), and return to the beer garden for beers and food. **Run Route:** https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/6065466607/ Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. Like anywhere in Oakland, please do not leave personal items of ANY value in your car if you plan on driving here. Learn How to Dragon Boat with KP Dragons

Our Sunday Meetups are for **first time or inexperienced** paddlers, and for experienced paddlers who wish to focus on refining their technique. All equipment is provided, but be sure to bring a water bottle and wear clothes you don't mind getting a little wet, and a ZipLoc bag for your keys/phone. In order to RSVP a spot on the boat, please be sure to fill out the following forms before coming out. This will help us with preparing boat seating and enable us to notify you in the event that practice gets cancelled due to weather conditions. Don’t be put off by the limited signups shown here, we always have PLENTY of paddlers 😊 We are a Dragon boat racing team. Our aim is to have fun stay fit and win medals. We compete at local national and international races, and we hold weekly practices that are open to all. You don't need to become a member to come and try paddling with us! We welcome all new paddlers, so whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned Dragon boat team member, then come along and join us for any of our training sessions at the Grand Street boat ramp in Alameda every Saturday at 9:30 am. Or Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm. We provide the boat, paddles, Personal Floatation Devices (PFD's), Safety and training (all free of charge!)...and of course, the camaraderie that comes with being part of a 20 person team. San Francisco’s 48 Hills — Walk #1: The Historic Core Saturday, October 24 San Francisco is a city best discovered on foot, and its hills have stories to tell! Join me as we launch our journey to explore San Francisco’s legendary 48 hills, one adventure at a time. This first walk is roughly 6 miles with just under 1000 feet accumulated gain. Our first walk begins at the Ruth Asawa Fountain on Stockton Street, between the Grand Hyatt and Apple Store. From there, we’ll wander into the colorful streets of Chinatown, climb to the grandeur of Nob Hill, explore the charm and views of Russian Hill, descend into North Beach, and make our way up Telegraph Hill before finishing at the Ferry Building. Along the way, we’ll uncover hidden corners, fascinating history, spectacular views, and some of the stories that make San Francisco such an extraordinary city. As a fourth-generation San Franciscan, I’ll share a few personal connections to the city along with the history and discoveries. Important details: * Meeting point: Ruth Asawa Fountain, Stockton Street * Finish: Ferry Building (this is not a loop) * Difficulty: Moderate to challenging, with several significant climbs * Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, layers, and your curiosity! We are an active squash group that gathers weekly at the courts in the Mission Rec Center (even if Meetup is inactive). Mission Recreation Center is close to the 16th and 24th street Bart stations and completely free. There is street parking all around.

Brisk Walk & Shop--SW corner Ordway & Marin, Albany, 11a

We are a warm and friendly group of walkers who like to get a really good cardio workout. We meet at the South West corner of Ordway and Marin. We walk briskly up to Marin circle, and then continue at a moderately fast pace, as far as the top of Marin. If there's a garage sale along the route, we may stop for a few minutes to take a breather and check it out. We welcome newcomers, and often have walkers who walk just part of the route. Over a number of weeks, you can build up the stamina to get to the top of Marin!
