Even at the S-Bahn station, the eye is drawn to the historic industrial building of the Alte Mälzerei , a former malt factory that was recently transformed into an inclusive urban quarter. From the station, we walk through a residential area to the southern section of the Wall Trail. As in the previous section, the path leads us along the city’s edge for long stretches through the open countryside in southern Berlin. The former patrol road of the GDR border troops is still partially preserved here; some of the lampposts that once illuminated the border strip are also still standing. Even from a distance, the distinctive silhouette of Gropiusstadt announces the end point of our hike. **What’s Village Outdoor?** Village outdoor Events are monthly meetups for the we are village community and their friends to enjoy outdoor activities in and around Berlin. Each month features a free and easy walk or hike in Berlin or its surrounding areas, accessible by public transport. **General Information** **Meeting point**: 11:00 AM, Lichtenrade S-Bahn station (S2) on the platform **Route length:** approx. 12 km (approx. 4 hours) **Return**: Lipschitzallee U-Bahn station (U7) **Language:** we’ll speak English and/or German, depending on the needs of the group. **Cost**: free event with registration *\*\* This event is part of the we are village program ‘****[Belonging versus Lonelliness](https://wearevillage.org/village-quartiere/addressing-queer-lonliness)****‘, with the support of the* ***[LADS](https://www.berlin.de/sen/lads/en/)****. From Cards Against Humanity - Tuesdays for Terrible People
4.6

Ok everybody, it's 2026, and after taking a break for the holidays, games are starting up again as usual. We'll meet, have a beer, and play a round of cards against humanity. Laughs will be had, groans will be groaned, beer will go down the hatch. This event is public, and prior experience with the game is not required. You are not required to drink alcohol, but please note that we are crashing a bar, so a beverage purchase or two is appropriate and necessary for us to maintain their goodwill. Bringing snacks to share is encouraged. See you there!

Drawing Camp: Learn Drawing in 9 Weeks!

Drawing Camp: Learn Drawing in 9 Weeks!

Mon, Mar 2, 5:15 PM
From Berlin Art Workshops
4.9

Learn drawing from scratch! **…an innovative and holistic method combining body, mind, hand, and pencil.** Have you ever been frustrated because you don’t know how to draw? This course is for you! In just 9 sessions, we will cover the basics – preparing you to confidently grow your drawing practice. March 2, 2026: **Shapes & Shades** March 9, 2026: **Perspective 1** March 16, 2026: **Perspective 2** March 23, 2026: **Still Life** March 30, 2026: **Textures** April 6, 2026: **Animals** April 13, 2026: **People** April 20, 2026: **Plants** April 27, 2026: **Landscapes and Cityscapes** Course fee: €190,- **Sign up now via email to mail@kunstraum-heartspace.de** This is a 9-weeks course with weekly meetings! **More information?** Aber gerne 😌 Continue reading if you want to learn more: This weekly drawing course is designed **for beginners** and **for everyone who is looking for a systematic refreshment** of their skills. We take a unique and holistic approach to developping your drawing skills, taking into consideration the interconnectedness of body, mind, and soul. This class is also suitable as an after-work activity to clear your mind and body! **Why draw?** I like to consider drawing the skeleton or grammar of visual art. It is a precise way to decipher what we see: Drawing asks us to really understand the logic of what we see, to develop a calm hand, a precise gaze, and a logical understanding of shapes and shades. **Sequence of each session:** 1. We will start by a full-body warm-up exercise... 2. ...followed by a concentration meditation where we practice the skill of guiding our hand to do what our minds want. 3. We then come to the main part of the lesson: Practicing the depiction of particular objects, beings, and settings, while diving into different techniques of applying pencil to paper (*hatching, lines, smudging, creating surfaces*). Everything we see can be drawn using different approaches. I will teach you all of them, so you can understand which approach fits your individuality best (*grid, eye measurement and angles, measuring with hand and pencil, becoming what you see, drawing as writing*). 4. We will close by sharing our learnings (debrief). **What to bring:** 🤸‍♀️ Clothes that allow you to move freely (don't shy away from showing up in sports gear!) 📒 Highly recommended: Bring either an A4 sketchbook, or an A4 sketchpad plus A4 folder to store your drawings in. ✍️ A pencil! Can't wait to see you there! Your drawing instructor, Alice
