Connect through charity events in London

Tuesday Hot Choc Mob
Tue, May 26, 6:00 PMJoin Us for a Hot Choc Mob Evening! We’ll be hitting the streets of London with something simple but powerful: warm drinks, snacks, and human connection. The Hot Choc Mob is a group of volunteers who believe a small act of kindness can mean a lot to someone sleeping rough or living through a tough time. We’re not a charity or religious group—just people who care and want to make a difference in our city. You don’t need any experience to join us. You’ll be welcomed by our walk leader and introduced to the group. From there, we’ll spend about an hour sharing hot chocolate, food, clothing, and friendly conversation with people who need it most. Afterwards, if you’d like to stay, we’ll regroup at a local pub to share stories and get to know each other. Items to bring along that are highly appreciated include bottled water or juice, soft fruit, tinned sardines, new socks, boxer shorts and t-shirts. And if you have a flask for hot water - instant coffee, tea bags, instant hot chocolate, sugar and milk enable us to make hot drinks for those we meet. If you can’t attend but still want to support us, we also have an [Amazon Wishlist](https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3T0FPY3DHUG9A?type=wishlist&filter=all&sort=priority&viewType=list) for essential items. This is your chance to make a real impact in someone’s day while meeting like-minded people who care about community and connection. Spaces are limited, so click RSVP now and join us for an evening that truly matters. Questions? Message Lynn on 07970 983340 Follow us on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/hotchocmob/)

It's fun. It's fulfilling. And we're a very friendly bunch. 🍇 — **BOOK ONTO THE SESSION** **To come to the session click here:** https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions **You will need to confirm your attendance on the GoodGym website** (this includes creating an account with us if you haven’t already - it only takes a few mins). The link above takes you to the session listings in your area - if this session doesn’t fit your schedule, you may find something that does so check it out. p.s. GoodGym is a charity and you will be asked whether you’d like to donate when first creating an account. The choice is yours and does not affect your ability to attend a session. — **FAQ** Not sure you'll keep up? GoodGym is for everyone (18+). Whether you've never run before, or are chasing a marathon PB, you are 100% welcome. We always have a back-marker so no one gets left behind. 70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. 👍 What do I need to wear? Most of us wear gym/running gear. Make sure you're prepared for the weather. Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours. Do I need to bring anything? Gardening gloves are really useful for a lot of GoodGym tasks. And a head torch too if it’s likely to get dark. Please bring some if you can but there’s no requirement 🧤💡🧤 What is GoodGym? We're a (really lovely) group of people who use our energy to make a difference in our local community (and in communities across the UK!). We often meet on a weeknight, at least once a week, for a session to do good and get fit. We'd love you to come and join us. Any questions, just pop a comment below or send me a message. London Bridge – poor health, bad debts but a Grade I pub at the end
Sat, May 16, 1:00 PM**London Bridge – poor health, bad debts but a Grade I pub at the end** This walk is presented by Central London Humanists and led by volunteer Robert Hall. Humanists believe we have just one life to be lived rationally and well, with compassion for others. This event is a guided walk of +/- 2.25 hours pointing out places of interest. We will be walking 3.5 Km / 2.2 miles. This walk is a companion to the walk we did from Borough station almost exactly a year ago and there is a slight overlap. Amongst highlights we see a former church that is now being put to better use, view a building containing an operating theatre dating from 1822, a rather more modern hospital, the site of a debtors prison and a rather puzzling statue of Alfred the Great. We’ll also meet Henry (no – not the vacuum cleaner!). **Date:** Saturday 16th May 2026 **Time:** 2 pm with a prompt departure at 2.15 pm **Place:** Toilets at London Bridge Mainline station. The toilets are not well signposted so leave plenty of time to find them! **Finishes:** About 4.30 pm at The George, 75 Borough High St, Southwark SE1 1NH The walk is led by Robert – 07981963681. He can be contacted for further information but please note he won’t be able to respond to messages or calls after the walk has started. **The formal bit:** These walks are not suitable for dogs, sorry. CLH events are 18+ unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. The maximum group size is 40 people. If you have signed up but find you can't attend, **please change your RSVP** on Meetup (it’s very easy to do) as soon as possible so others can join. You are responsible for your own actions and safety; there is no liability on the walk leader or CLH for anything that may happen on the walk. You must be able to keep up with the walk leader at 4 Km/h (2.5 mph) for 5 Km (3 miles). It is participants' responsibility to safely cross roads. Where appropriate, pedestrian controlled lights will be used and obeyed unless it is obvious that the whole group can cross safely. When the group stops at a point of interest, please be mindful not to block pavements so members of the public can pass by safely. Don’t forget this is the UK and it may rain at any time! The walk will go ahead whatever the weather unless conditions are dangerous so please bring clothing for all seasons. **A donation of £3 to Central London Humanists would be appreciated.** The majority of Central London Humanists events are free, but we welcome a £3 contribution per head. This helps towards the running and organising of events, as well as various admin expenses. If you can't attend and would still like to contribute, or would prefer to pay online, please **[click here](https://checkout.square.site/merchant/ML71XMH66FX5E/checkout/ALWCDLQ3S7AVPLFZ62PZGXLU)**. We encourage anyone who is interested in Humanism and Central London Humanists to consider becoming a member: * If you wish to register as a full member of CLH (no membership fee) please register on our website: [https://centrallondonhumanists.org.uk/signup](https://centrallondonhumanists.org.uk/signup) * If you wish to join Humanists UK and support its work to promote humanism in British life, please go to: [Humanists UK – Think for yourself, act for everyone](https://humanists.uk/) We encourage dialogue, debate, and sharing of information, but ask people to keep their comments cordial. Any individual's views expressed (most definitely including the walk leader!) do not necessarily reflect the views of the group at large.
