# 👻 Ghost Tour: Queen West & Yonge Street 🌙 ### Restless Spirits, Strange Stories & Toronto After Dark The thing about ghosts is… **they don’t always stay where they died.** Sometimes they linger in places they loved. Sometimes they remain where unfinished business keeps them tethered. And sometimes, apparently, they just really like a particular chair. On this walking tour, we'll explore some of the stranger stories connected to **Queen West and Yonge Street** — from hospitals and theatres to music halls, historic buildings, and some rather unexpected places. Some of these people met their fate on these streets. **Most didn't.** Ghosts are funny that way. This is a **curated storytelling experience**, combining Toronto history, local legends, and some of the city's more unusual ghost stories. And don't worry — we're not going inside the buildings. 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 👻 What We'll Explore We'll begin outside the **Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts** and make our way east toward Yonge Street. Along the way, we'll hear stories about: * 🔫 **Don't play with guns… again** * 🙏 **“This is my hospital,” said the Nun** * 🎶 **The spirit who stayed for the music** * 🪑 **Who sat in that chair?** * 👻 Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and Toronto legends We'll finish at **Yonge-Dundas Square**. The walk will take approximately **90 minutes**, depending on the pace of the group. We'll remain outdoors throughout the experience and will **not be entering any buildings**. *** ## 🌙 A Little About the Experience This isn't simply a walk where someone points out a few supposedly haunted buildings. I've researched the stories, developed the route, and brought the different pieces together into a single experience. Some stories are rooted in Toronto history. Some have been passed down as local legends. And some leave you wondering whether there might actually be something to them. **You can decide what you believe.** 👻 *** ## 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 **Meetup Location:** Outside the **Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts** 🫎 **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** ⏰ **Meetup Time:** **6:30 PM sharp** I will only wait **5 minutes**. **Early is on time. On time is late.** 🚶‍♂️ **Pace:** Steady walking pace 🏁 **End Point:** **Yonge-Dundas Square** *** ## 🎟️ Meetup Fee **$10 cash in person or e-transfer** 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated ghost-walking experience**, rather than one of our regular social walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and brought together specifically for this experience. The fee helps support the time and work that goes into creating these walks. *** ## 🎒 What to Bring 👟 Comfortable walking shoes 🧥 Weather-appropriate clothing 💧 Water 📱 Your phone for photos — if you're brave enough. 👻 *** ## 🌈 Who Is This For? This experience is great for: * 👻 People who love ghost stories * 🏙️ Anyone interested in Toronto's strange history * 🎭 Theatre and music lovers * 🕯️ People who enjoy local legends and unexplained stories * 🚶 People looking for something different to do in the evening * 😂 Anyone who likes being a little scared without taking it too seriously You don't have to believe in ghosts. You just have to enjoy a good story. *** **REMEMBER:** You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. Sometimes things happen and events may need to be cancelled or changed, so please keep an eye on the event page for updates. 👤 **Organizer: Mathew** Questions? Post on the event wall or email: 📧 **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** **Come for the ghosts.** **Stay for the stories.** **Leave wondering what you just heard.** 👻🌙

# 👻 Ghost Tour: The Exhibition Grounds 🎡 ### Toronto's Haunted Fairgrounds, Dark History & One Building I Don't Like Being Near The Exhibition Grounds have spent more than a century hosting crowds, celebrations, soldiers, shows, and some of Toronto's biggest events. But underneath all that history is a darker side. The Exhibition Grounds are said to be **one of the most haunted places in Toronto** — and I'll be honest: **this is the one place on my ghost walks that genuinely scares me.** There's something about the atmosphere here. Some buildings have an energy that feels different. And when you know what happened in them, it's hard not to look at them a little differently. On this evening ghost walk, we'll explore the grounds and hear stories of **soldiers, settlers, performers, animals, tragedies, and people who may never have completely left.** This isn't just about trying to scare you. It's about discovering the strange history hiding underneath one of Toronto's most familiar landmarks. 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 👻 What We'll Explore We'll begin outside **Medieval Times** and make our way across the Exhibition Grounds toward the Princes' Gates. Along the way, we'll hear stories connected to: * 🏚️ **The General Service Building** * 💀 **The Stanley Barracks** — the building that genuinely creeps me out * 🐎 **The Horse Palace** * 🏠 **Scadding Cabin** * 👻 Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and haunted corners of the grounds We'll finish at the **Princes' Gates**. We'll keep a steady walking pace and **will not be entering any of the buildings**. *** ## 🕯️ Why This One Is Different I've done a lot of ghost walks around Toronto. **This is the one that actually makes me uncomfortable.** Maybe it's the history. Maybe it's the buildings. Maybe it's simply knowing what happened here and then standing there after dark. Whatever it is, the Exhibition Grounds have always felt different to me. So come prepared for some genuinely creepy stories — and maybe a few moments where we all wonder whether we should really be standing there. 👻 *** ## 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 **Meetup Location:** In front of **Medieval Times** 🫎 **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** ⏰ **Meetup Time:** **6:30 PM sharp** I will only wait **5 minutes**. **Early is on time. On time is late.** 🚶‍♂️ **Pace:** Steady walking pace 🏁 **End Point:** **Princes' Gates** *** ## 🎟️ Meetup Fee **$10 cash in person or e-transfer** 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated ghost-walking experience**, rather than one of our regular social walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and brought together specifically for this experience. The fee helps support the time and work that goes into creating these walks. *** ## 🎒 What to Bring 👟 Comfortable walking shoes 🧥 Weather-appropriate clothing 💧 Water 📱 Your phone for photos And maybe… don't wander off by yourself. 👻 *** ## 🌈 Who Is This For? This experience is great for: * 👻 People who love ghost stories * 🏙️ Anyone fascinated by Toronto's darker history * 🕯️ Fans of the strange and unexplained * 🎡 People who want to see the Exhibition Grounds differently * 🚶 Anyone looking for something unusual to do on an evening out * 😈 People who like being scared — at least a little You don't have to believe in ghosts. **You just have to be willing to walk into the dark with us.** *** **REMEMBER:** You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. Sometimes things happen and events may need to be cancelled or changed, so please keep an eye on the event page for updates. 👤 **Organizer: Mathew** Questions? Post on the event wall or email: 📧 **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** **Come for the history.** **Stay for the ghost stories.** **And try not to look too closely at the buildings.** 👻

# 🎃🍂 Halloween Day: The Fall Colours of High Park & Ghost Stories 👻 ### Fall Colours, Spooky Stories & A Little Halloween Fun It's Halloween — so why should the ghosts get to have all the fun at night? Join us for a **Halloween Day walk through High Park**, where we'll enjoy the fall colours while stopping along the way for some of the park's stranger, spookier, and downright weird stories. High Park has a long history of ghost stories and local legends. From stories connected to the **War of 1812** — yes, *that* War of 1812 — to tales of mysterious deaths and people who may not have completely left the park behind, there's plenty of history to make an ordinary fall walk a little more interesting. But don't worry. **This isn't a terrifying ghost hunt.** It's Halloween in the middle of the day. 👻☀️ Think **fall colours, creepy stories, a few laughs, and just enough spooky atmosphere to make you look over your shoulder once or twice.** 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 👻 What We'll Do We'll walk through **High Park**, stopping at different locations along the way while I share stories connected to the park's history and ghostly legends. Along the way we'll: * Enjoy the fall colours 🍂 * Explore some of High Park's most interesting locations * Hear stories of ghosts, legends, and strange events 👻 * Learn a little about the park's history * Take photos and enjoy the scenery 📸 * Have some Halloween fun along the way 🎃 We'll keep a steady walking pace, with regular stops for storytelling. The walk will remain **outside throughout** — there is no entry into buildings. *** ## 🎃 Halloween Day — So Let's Have Some Fun This isn't meant to be a serious paranormal investigation. It's a **Halloween walk**. Some stories are creepy. Some are strange. Some might make you wonder whether there's actually something going on. And some are just a good excuse to tell a spooky story while walking through the fall leaves. **You don't have to believe in ghosts.** You just have to enjoy a good story. *** ## 🍁 Fall Weather & Expectations This is an outdoor walk, so please dress appropriately for the weather. High Park can be cool and damp in late October, so bring a warm jacket and wear comfortable walking shoes. We'll be walking at a steady pace, with stops along the way for stories and photos. *** ## 🧢 Meetup Details 📍 **Meetup Location:** High Park sign on the west side at Bloor Street West & High Park Avenue 🫎 **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** ⏰ **Meetup Time:** **11:00 AM sharp** I will only wait **5 minutes.** **Early is on time. On time is late.** 🚶 **Pace:** Steady walking pace 🏁 **End Point:** Back where we started *** ## 🎟️ Meetup Fee **$10 cash in person or e-transfer** 📧 **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated, guided storytelling experience**, rather than one of our regular group walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and developed specifically for this experience. *** ## 🎒 What to Bring 💧 Water 👟 Comfortable walking shoes 🧥 Warm fall jacket or layers 📸 Camera or phone 🎃 Halloween spirit And if you want to wear a costume... **I'm certainly not going to stop you.** 👻 *** ## 🌈 Who Is This For? This is great for: * People who love Halloween 🎃 * Anyone who enjoys ghost stories * Fall-colour enthusiasts 🍂 * History buffs * People looking for something different to do on Halloween Day * Anyone who enjoys a good story and a few laughs * People who want to meet new people while exploring Toronto You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. # 👻 Ghost Tour of Old Toronto 🌙 ### Haunted Hotels, Dark History & The Ghosts of Downtown Toronto has a long history — and some of it is considerably darker than the history books make it sound. Join us for an evening walk through **Old Toronto**, where we'll uncover stories of haunted hotels, gruesome executions, mysterious deaths, and some of the stranger legends that have become part of the city's history. We'll walk through the downtown core as the city settles into the evening, stopping along the way for stories about the ghosts, tragedies, and unusual events connected to the streets and buildings around us. And yes, we'll even explore **why Toronto has a long-standing fear of clowns.** 🤡👻 This isn't simply a walk through downtown. It's a **curated storytelling experience** that looks at some of Toronto's history from a decidedly darker perspective. 📱 Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group – [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## 👻 What We'll Explore We'll begin outside the **Royal York Hotel** and make our way through Old Toronto toward the **Hockey Hall of Fame**.
