# ๐ŸŽƒ **Halloween Dinner @ The Haunted Keg Mansion ๐Ÿ‘ป** This year marks our **14th annual Halloween Dinner at The Keg Mansion** โ€” a tradition I started with this group fourteen years ago. โš ๏ธ **This event fills up every year, and spots are limited to just 30 people. If you want to join us, please make sure youโ€™re committed before signing up.** If you donโ€™t already know, The Keg Mansion is one of the most haunted buildings in Toronto. Some guests claim to have seen the Lady in the window upstairs, and the womenโ€™s washroom is famous for its ghostly encounters. We may not know exactly where weโ€™ll be seated, but the second floor is known to be especially activeโ€ฆ if you dare. ๐Ÿ‘ป ๐Ÿ“ฑ Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group โ€“ [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ The Keg Mansion The Keg is a classic steakhouse with a wide range of dishes and price points, so thereโ€™s something for everyone. Whether youโ€™re coming for the meal, the company, or the possibility of encountering something from the other side, youโ€™ll be part of one of our longest-running Halloween traditions. ๐Ÿ“‹ **Menu:**[ Click Here](https://thekeg.com/en/locations/mansion/menu) ๐Ÿ’ฒ **Cost of Meal:** $$$ *** ## ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Meetup Details ๐Ÿ“ **Meetup Spot:** Iโ€™ll be waiting outside The Keg Mansion wearing my Moose Hat. Please donโ€™t go inside without me. ๐Ÿ•– **Meetup Time:** 6:45 pm **Iโ€™ll only wait 5 minutes!** *** ## ๐ŸŽญ Dress Code & Church Street Every year people ask if they can dress up โ€” the answer is **YES!** Costumes are welcome. ๐ŸŽƒ After dinner, anyone who wants to head to **Church Street for Torontoโ€™s famous Halloween Festival** is welcome to go. It gets **very crowded**, so I wonโ€™t be joining the group or leading everyone through the festival. Iโ€™ll help anyone who wants to go together find one another, point you in the right direction, and make sure you know where youโ€™re headed. From there, youโ€™re on your own to enjoy the madness! ๐Ÿ‘ป *** ## ๐Ÿ’ต SAVE YOUR SPOT โ€” PLEASE READ BEFORE RSVPing **Spots are limited to 24 people.** To secure your spot, a **$25 e-transfer must be sent to [mathewmaclean@hotmail.com](mailto:mathewmaclean@hotmail.com) within 24 hours of signing up.** This applies to **everyone**. It does not matter whether you joined the group yesterday, have been here for fourteen years, or have been a member in good standing for years. **If you are attending this event, you pay the $25 save-your-spot fee. There are no exceptions.** Hereโ€™s how it works: * **$25 must be paid within 24 hours of signing up.** * **$20 will be returned to you when you show up.** * **$5 is the Meetup fee that supports the group.** * If payment is not received within 24 hours, **your spot may be given to someone else.** * **There are no refunds for any reason.** Please do not sign up unless you are **100% committed to attending**. With only 30 spots available, every spot matters. Iโ€™m not going to chase people for payment. If you sign up, you are responsible for sending the $25 within the 24-hour deadline. โš ๏ธ **Waiting List:** If the event is full and you are placed on the waiting list, **do not send the $25 e-transfer.** Only send payment if I contact you and confirm that a spot has become available. Your spot is not confirmed until I have contacted you and confirmed it. *** ## โš ๏ธ Important Notes * Sometimes things happen and I may need to cancel โ€” please watch for updates. * Please **donโ€™t call the restaurant** โ€” they wonโ€™t know anything about this event. Direct all questions to me. * This group is open to everyone: singles, couples, and anyone looking to be social, make friends, and have fun. We also host movies, walks, hikes, arts & culture outings, and more! ๐Ÿ‘ค **Organized by Mathew.** For questions, post on the wall or email **[torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com](mailto:torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com)**

# ๐ŸŽƒ The Ghosts of the University of Toronto ๐Ÿ‘ป ### A 90-Minute Halloween Ghost Walk Through Toronto's Haunted History L ooking for something a little different this Halloween season? Join us for a **guided ghost walk through the University of Toronto campus and its eerie surroundings**, exploring some of the stories, legends, and strange histories hidden in one of Toronto's oldest neighbourhoods. This isn't one of our regular walks where we're simply following a trail and enjoying the scenery. **This is a curated storytelling experience.** I've researched the locations, developed the route, and put together the stories specifically for this experience. We'll explore some of the darker corners of the university and surrounding neighbourhoods while uncovering the people, places, and legends that have given them their haunted reputations. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Along the way, we'll hear stories about: * What the Christies โ€” yes, *Mr. Christie Cookies* โ€” were hiding in their mansion ๐Ÿช * The restless little girl who is never happy ๐Ÿ‘ง * What might really be lurking inside Queen's Park ๐Ÿ‘€ * Haunted stories connected to University of Toronto buildings * The Royal Conservatory of Music * The Royal Ontario Museum * And some other stories that are better experienced after dark... ๐Ÿ‘ป You don't have to believe in ghosts. You just have to enjoy a good story. ๐Ÿ“ฑ Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group โ€“ [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## ๐Ÿ‘ป What We'll Do We'll spend approximately **90 minutes walking through the University of Toronto campus and surrounding streets**, stopping at locations connected to Toronto's haunted history. Along the way we'll: * Hear stories about some of Toronto's most intriguing characters and locations * Explore the darker history of the University of Toronto * Visit locations associated with ghost stories and local legends * Learn the history behind some of the buildings around us * Walk through Queen's Park and the surrounding area * Finish at the **Royal Ontario Museum** We'll remain **outside the buildings** throughout the experience. The walking pace will be moderate, with plenty of stops along the way for stories. *** ## ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ This Is More Than a Walk Our regular walks are about getting outside, exploring Toronto, and meeting people. This one is different. **This is a guided storytelling experience.** The route and stories have been researched and developed specifically for this event, so you're not just following me from one location to another โ€” you're getting a story about the city as we go. And because it's Halloween season, we'll be doing it after dark. ๐ŸŽƒ *** ## ๐Ÿ‚ What to Expect This is an outdoor walking experience, so please dress appropriately for the weather. We'll be walking for approximately **90 minutes**, with regular stops for storytelling. There is **no entry into any buildings**, so you won't need to worry about museum admission or other entrance fees. And while some of the stories are genuinely creepy, this isn't designed to be a horror attraction. It's **Toronto history, local legends, and storytelling with a spooky twist.** *** ## ๐Ÿงข Meetup Details ๐Ÿ“ **Meeting Location:** In front of the building by the stairs ๐ŸซŽ **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** โฐ **Start Time:** 7:00 PM sharp I will only wait **5 minutes.** **Early is on time. On time is late.** ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ **Walking Pace:** Moderate ๐Ÿ **End Point:** Royal Ontario Museum *** ## ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Meetup Fee **$10 cash or e-transfer** ๐Ÿ“ง **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated, guided storytelling experience**, rather than one of our regular group walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and developed specifically for this experience. Food and drinks afterward are optional and are **not included** in the Meetup fee. *** ## ๐Ÿป After the Ghost Walk We'll finish at the **Royal Ontario Museum**. For anyone who wants to keep the evening going, we'll walk about 10 minutes over to the **Duke of York** for food, drinks, and conversation. You don't have to come โ€” but everyone is welcome. Because sometimes the best part of a ghost story is having someone to talk about it with afterward. ๐Ÿ‘ป *** ## ๐ŸŒˆ Who Is This For? This is great for: * Anyone who loves ghost stories ๐Ÿ‘ป * History buffs * People curious about Toronto's darker side * Fans of Halloween * Anyone who enjoys storytelling * People looking for something different to do in the city * Anyone who wants to meet new people while exploring Toronto You don't need to believe in ghosts. **Just bring your curiosity.** You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. Sometimes things happen and events may need to be cancelled or changed, so please keep an eye on the event page for updates. ๐Ÿ‘ค **Organizer: Mathew** Questions? Post on the event wall or email: ๐Ÿ“ง **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** **Come for the ghosts. ๐Ÿ‘ป** **Stay for the stories.** **Leave with a new connection โ€” and maybe a new friend.** ๐Ÿ–ค

# ๐Ÿ‘ป Ghost Tour: Queen West & Yonge Street ๐ŸŒ™ ### Restless Spirits, Strange Stories & Toronto After Dark The thing about ghosts isโ€ฆ **they donโ€™t always stay where they died.** Sometimes they linger in places they loved. Sometimes they remain where unfinished business keeps them tethered. And sometimes, apparently, they just really like a particular chair. On this walking tour, we'll explore some of the stranger stories connected to **Queen West and Yonge Street** โ€” from hospitals and theatres to music halls, historic buildings, and some rather unexpected places. Some of these people met their fate on these streets. **Most didn't.** Ghosts are funny that way. This is a **curated storytelling experience**, combining Toronto history, local legends, and some of the city's more unusual ghost stories. And don't worry โ€” we're not going inside the buildings. ๐Ÿ“ฑ Don't forget to join our **WhatsApp Group โ€“ [CLICK HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc)** *** ## ๐Ÿ‘ป What We'll Explore We'll begin outside the **Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts** and make our way east toward Yonge Street. Along the way, we'll hear stories about: * ๐Ÿ”ซ **Don't play with gunsโ€ฆ again** * ๐Ÿ™ **โ€œThis is my hospital,โ€ said the Nun** * ๐ŸŽถ **The spirit who stayed for the music** * ๐Ÿช‘ **Who sat in that chair?** * ๐Ÿ‘ป Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and Toronto legends We'll finish at **Yonge-Dundas Square**. The walk will take approximately **90 minutes**, depending on the pace of the group. We'll remain outdoors throughout the experience and will **not be entering any buildings**. *** ## ๐ŸŒ™ A Little About the Experience This isn't simply a walk where someone points out a few supposedly haunted buildings. I've researched the stories, developed the route, and brought the different pieces together into a single experience. Some stories are rooted in Toronto history. Some have been passed down as local legends. And some leave you wondering whether there might actually be something to them. **You can decide what you believe.** ๐Ÿ‘ป *** ## ๐Ÿงข Meetup Details ๐Ÿ“ **Meetup Location:** Outside the **Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts** ๐ŸซŽ **Look for me in my Moose Hat!** โฐ **Meetup Time:** **6:30 PM sharp** I will only wait **5 minutes**. **Early is on time. On time is late.** ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ **Pace:** Steady walking pace ๐Ÿ **End Point:** **Yonge-Dundas Square** *** ## ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Meetup Fee **$10 cash in person or e-transfer** ๐Ÿ“ง **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** This is a **curated ghost-walking experience**, rather than one of our regular social walks. The route, stories, and history have been researched and brought together specifically for this experience. The fee helps support the time and work that goes into creating these walks. *** ## ๐ŸŽ’ What to Bring ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Comfortable walking shoes ๐Ÿงฅ Weather-appropriate clothing ๐Ÿ’ง Water ๐Ÿ“ฑ Your phone for photos โ€” if you're brave enough. ๐Ÿ‘ป *** ## ๐ŸŒˆ Who Is This For? This experience is great for: * ๐Ÿ‘ป People who love ghost stories * ๐Ÿ™๏ธ Anyone interested in Toronto's strange history * ๐ŸŽญ Theatre and music lovers * ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ People who enjoy local legends and unexplained stories * ๐Ÿšถ People looking for something different to do in the evening * ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyone who likes being a little scared without taking it too seriously You don't have to believe in ghosts. You just have to enjoy a good story. *** **REMEMBER:** You're welcome to RSVP ahead of time or just show up on the day if you're unsure about your schedule. Sometimes things happen and events may need to be cancelled or changed, so please keep an eye on the event page for updates. ๐Ÿ‘ค **Organizer: Mathew** Questions? Post on the event wall or email: ๐Ÿ“ง **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** **Come for the ghosts.** **Stay for the stories.** **Leave wondering what you just heard.** ๐Ÿ‘ป๐ŸŒ™
