This month we'll look at some of the progress that's being made (and where things seem to be heading) with smaller models - important for on-device applications and lower latency responses.

In this talk Sam will look at some of the recent releases of SLMs, VLMs and other small models and how you can get started using them to build agents and apps that can run locally.

"Small Agents++" - Martin Andrews

Martin will talk about work being done at Google, DeepMind and Meta, for embedding, training and tasking small models. He'll also give a quick look at the latest Minecraft agents - learning within our favourite virtual sandbox.
