Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Riverwalk Cleanup

Hello, There is an Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Riverwalk Cleanup coming up on 10/18/26 from 9a-11a. Hoping we can learn more about the trail and possibly do a future Macon Outdoors event there. Join the Friends of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail for their first-ever workday!
In partnership with the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park and MBC Parks & Beautification, they're coming together to help care for this important community asset.
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻: Sunday, October 18, 2026 | 9–11 AM
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Meet at the MLK Jr. Blvd. Riverwalk Access
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁: Trash pickup and light landscaping
𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:

- Parking: Volunteers can park at the James Bates Brannen and Groover office at 231 Riverside Drive. We will post a map of the location in the event discussions.
- Power tools are not permitted - small limb loppers, leaf blowers, and rakes are okay to use.
- Friends at OMNHP will provide trash grabbers and bags and will be on hand during the workday.
- All participants will have to sign, as we're working on National Park Service land.
