Welcome to Madison Childfree by Choice!
This is a group for people in and around Madison, Wisconsin and Dane County who identify as childfree by choice. We are open to individuals and partnered people aged 18+ of all identities and backgrounds. We are looking for courteous, respectful, dependable, active, and fun-loving childfree people to join!
Madison Childfree by Choice is intended for like-minded childfree by choice people to socialize, support each other in their decision to be childfree, and is focused on friendships, not dating. (Please do not DM other members without their consent.) We plan to hold different types of social events and hope each member will share their ideas, hobbies, interests, and embark on new adventures while leading events throughout the year. Suggesting an event or leading an event is a great way to make childfree friends with similar interests!

Please note that this is NOT a group for people who currently have or plan to have children, have a partner with children, or are empty nesters/have adult children. It is also not intended to support people who are childless due to indecision, infertility, medical issues, or other circumstances. If you previously viewed yourself as childless and now identify as childfree by choice, you are welcome.
If you want to join, we prefer that your profile uses your real first name (last name optional) and a current picture of yourself. That makes it easier to identify you at events. Please be courteous in keeping your RSVPs up to date. No-shows may result in being removed from the group.

The Union's Wheelhouse Studios offers free Art Zone events throughout the summer. Come join in the fun of painting rocks on the Terrace for free at the Art Zone. All supplies and instructions are provided. There will definitely be other people's kids present, so you're aware. Meet me -- Lisa -- in the Art Zone. I have short, light blue hair and glasses and I'll wear a red childfree by choice t-shirt.
NOTE: If there is inclement weather, the Art Zone may be cancelled or moved indoors. If it's cancelled, we can hang out inside instead. I'll post messages here with details.

August 1 is International Childfree Day! Let's hit up Garver Food Truck Friday to celebrate! Local band One Shot Wally is playing. Food service starts at 5pm and music starts at 6pm. Limited seating is first come, first served so arrive as early as you can so we can get a couple tables together!
Lisa has short blue hair and glasses and will wear a childfree by choice t-shirt!
