Welcome to Madison Childfree by Choice!

This is a group for people in and around Madison, Wisconsin and Dane County who identify as childfree by choice. We are open to individuals and partnered people aged 18+ of all identities and backgrounds who choose not to have and do not want children. We are looking for courteous, respectful, dependable, active, and fun-loving childfree people to join!

Madison Childfree by Choice is intended for like-minded childfree by choice people to socialize, support each other in their decision to be childfree, and is focused on friendships, not dating. (Please do not DM other members without their consent.) We plan to hold different types of social events and hope each member will share their ideas, hobbies, interests, and embark on new adventures while leading events throughout the year. Suggesting an event or leading an event is a great way to make childfree friends with similar interests!

Please note that this is NOT a group for people who currently have or plan to have children, have a partner with children, or are empty nesters/have adult children. It is also not intended to support people who are childless due to indecision, infertility, medical issues, or other circumstances. If you previously viewed yourself as childless and now identify as childfree by choice, you are welcome.

If you want to join, we prefer that your profile uses your real first name (last name optional) and a current picture of yourself. That makes it easier to identify you at events. Please be courteous in keeping your RSVPs up to date. No-shows may result in being removed from the group.

We look forward to meeting up with other childfree by choice friends in person soon!

Madison Childfree by Choice | Free Art Friday: Mash-terpieces

Wheelhouse Studios at the UW Memorial Union offers Free Art Fridays periodically throughout the semester that are open to all! November's event is making art with potatoes! Carve, paint, and print onto fabric zipper pouches using hand carved potato stamps. Get there early because it's only open while supplies last and these events tend to be very popular!

Look for Lisa to be seated near the entrance of the Festival Room (lower level of the Memorial Union) as she can get. She has short smoky blue hair and glasses and will wear a childfree by choice t-shirt!

- Buy your tickets in advance from Cheshire Cat Comedy to guarantee your seat. Tickets available at the door if not sold out.
- Meet at 6:30pm to the left of the front door of Crucible so we can get seats together for the 7pm show time. Look for Lisa who has short smoky blue hair and glasses! She'll post additional details that night in event comments. Keep your MeetUp app updated and notifications on.

Seating is first come, first served. It is suggested that you arrive at the venue when doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime in order to get your pick of seats.

Recommended for ages 18+. Per venue rules, attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be asked to show a photo ID upon check-in.

Lineup subject to change. We do not offer refunds, but if you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, please contact Cheshire Cat Comedy at cheshirecatcomedyco@gmail.com to redeem for free admission to a future show of your choice. Refunds are issued automatically in the event of a show's cancellation.
