About us

Have you ever finished watching a movie and felt disappointed that you didn't have anyone to talk with about it? Or you try to tell a friend about it by saying "Well there were these two guys who were standing close together at the beginning and then got further apart as the scene progressed and it was like, a METAPHOR" and of course they don't get how amazing it was? Hold onto your moisture-wicking socks because you just found that place!

Similar to book clubs, once a month we will pick a movie to watch and then meet up for coffee to talk about it. We will focus on movies that have advanced or experimented with filmmaking or are noteworthy in other ways.

Such movies might include Taxi Driver, Days of Heaven, 2001 Space Odyssey, The Rear Window, My Dinner with Andre, Black Narcissus, Seven Samurai, The Exorcist, Inland Empire, Female Trouble, Bicycle Thieves, A Woman Under the Influence, and the Before Trilogy.

Possible directors could include Akira Kurosawa, John Waters, Ingmar Bergman, Federico Fellini, Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch, Wes Anderson and more.
