Volunteer for Gear Bag Shift for Ironman Wisconsin - Separate Signup Required

Details

Below is some information(please also see the photos uploaded) that I received from Ironman in terms of the shift. The email I received for location from coordinator I had received 5 days ago so if you have signed up later I'm not sure how they are doing followups. In terms of parking since it's Sunday there should be a lot of available side street parking besides MG&E.
His Email:
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes (1/2 hour would be ideal) prior to your shift time. Please plan accordingly to accommodate for road closures, parking, etc. Gear Bags are located on the main floor, one level down from the entrance from MLK Boulevard. MLK boulevard is where the finish line is and the ramp over the parking lot to Monona Terrace. The transition areas are the ballrooms. Transition1 (T1), swim to run, is to the left and T2, bike to run, is to the right of the front entrance to the main level.
Please pick up your t-shirt prior to checking in at the volunteer tent located near the corner of MLK Blvd and Wilson street. Wilson Street is the last cross street just before Monona Terrace. If you have the very early shift on Sunday and the volunteer tent is not open yet, I will have the shirts.

Original Meetup Event Description:
This is a fun and relatively easy(despite description from Ironman site) volunteer shift for Ironman Wisconsin (7:30-11:00ish) that I've done the past two years and just signed up again for. After me there are 34 volunteer openings for this shift so they need a fair amount of people for it. More details will be provided by Ironman but it takes places in one of the banquet rooms inside Monona Terrace and involves handing the athlete's gear bag(for transition from swim portion to bike portion) to them as they transition through(the gear bags have their number on them so you'll match that to their bib). More than anything it's cheerleading and supporting them on their journey and is definitely an uplifting morning that I've enjoyed in the past. There is always a shortage of volunteers for the event so you might want to check out other shifts as well. As mentioned in the description separate signup is required and that page is here under the Sunday 7:30-11:00 Gear Bag shift at Monona Terrace. This is cross-posted to Madison Professionals and Madison Volunteers Meetup so there are a couple postings/groups. I'll add a description of what I'm wearing etc. if we want to meetup a bit before the shift and we can lunch nearby after if there is interest.

Description:
7:30am - 11:00am
Monona Terrace

Gear Bags
***This position can be physically demanding.*** It requires you to bend-over, stand & lift up to 30 pounds.***

Athletes wear dry, warm clothes known as 'morning clothes' as they head to the transition area race day morning. In addition to their bikes, athletes are required to have their gear (swim to bike, bike to run) in separate bags the day before the race. This shift involves helping athletes place their morning clothes before the race, retrieving transition bags during the race, and re-organizing gear bags once the athlete is done with them.
