Madison Parks Earth Day Challenge Cleanup Event At Galaxy Park

Hey all, I thought this Earth day cleanup might be a good opportunity to meetup, socialize and help out the Madison community. This is part of the Madison Parks annual cleanup parks Earth Day Challenge event and in sorting by the number of needed volunteers this park by far(in needing 20 more people) came up as the most needed. I've never been to this park but will stop by before the event to do a little bit of recon. Please signup via the parks website beyond meetup, below is a description from parks website. Please note this event is cross-posted between Madison Volunteers and Madison Professionals so there will members from both groups there. If there is interest in grabbing/food drinks nearby after to socialize that's a possibility if there is interest.

Join the Madison Parks Earth Day Challenge!
Special Afternoon Cleanup Event at Galaxy Park – 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Make a difference in your community by helping clean up Galaxy Park on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This special afternoon event, coordinated in partnership with the Kennedy Elementary PTO, offers a great opportunity to get involved in your local park. Volunteers will focus on trash pickup, with occasional tasks like light raking or stick removal.

Supplies Provided
Registered volunteers will receive bags and gloves, available at the designated supply station marked by the EARTH DAY CHALLENGE sign.
Please note: No staff will be onsite during the event, so your participation is vital to its success!
