Polar Plunge Madison 2026

To follow up with our discussion on NYE with Amanda I thought I'd try another meetup for the Polar Plunge(usually turnout is light). I've done it about 5 times here(in air temperature as low as 5 degrees to highest of 50ish degrees) but it's been a bit. Besides the plunge itself there used to be quite a pre and post party at Coliseum Bar(across from Olin Park or Alliant where it used to be held). The zoo is new location for it and I assume they will host a party there for it or another sponsor bar off of Monroe. They do times by group reservation so we'll figure that and more details later. There is a $100 donation to Special Olympics required to plunge(I'm lazy and just pay my own but you can fundraise if you wish instead).As per message I accidentally posted this in wrong group but since it's ultimately for charity I'll leave it up. There are opportunities for volunteering the day of and in the past I did volunteer for early registration(day before event). I'll more info on that as we get closer
