BOOK DISCUSSION
The River of God- Gregory Riley 2005

This book seems like the best explanation of the origins of Christianity, more than Hellenized Judaism it looks at religious ideas and how they passed downstream through time, it examines pagan influence, Mesopotamian, Zoroastrian, Egyptian and ancient science.

We’ll discuss this book over dinner, which you’ll order for yourself off the restaurant’s regular menu.

It’s recommended but not required that you have read the book beforehand.
