Sloans Lake Golden Hour Picnic & Pub Crawl

Let's meet by the lake for an evening of good company and golden hour magic!

What to Bring
Bring a blanket or something to sit on, plus your favorite picnic foods, drinks, and games — anything from frisbee to Cards Against Humanity. We'll have cornhole and jenga. Let us know what you plan to bring in the comments!

Grilling
We will be grilling ~50 burgers and ~50 hot dogs (plus some bonus chicken burgers and brats) for Venmo tips starting at 4pm until they're gone. We'll also have buns, cheese, ketchup, mustard, plates, napkins, and plenty of ice.

Please bring a side, snack, or dessert to share. Feel free to bring your own food to throw on the grill once burgers and dogs are gone.

Drinks
We'll have some water bottles and canned sodas. Bring your own of anything else. No hard liquor or glass is allowed in Denver parks, so please plan accordingly.

If you’re joining for the pub crawl, keep in mind that you’ll need to bring your picnic stuff with you or find somewhere safe to store it.

What to Expect
We know large meetups like this can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time attending a meetup or connecting with this group.

Don’t let the RSVP count scare you away from attending. You can anticipate a turnout closer to half the listed number, and many smaller clusters of conversation rather than one giant group.

At the park, we’ll have signage and decorations to help you find the group, and name tags to help identify those with the meetup. There will be multiple activities going at once - lawn games, card games, food, music, maybe some arts and crafts if we’re feeling extra.

As the sun sets around 9PM, we'll wander our way toward nearby breweries, food trucks, and live music. Optional walkable spots to continue adventures at your own pace include Joyride Brewery, Edgewater Public Market, and Lot 46 Music Bar. Think choose-your-own-adventure afterparty more than classic pub crawl.
