MEMBERS ONLY: Wood Shop Red Level Tool Trainings

This event is for Full MAKE Roanoke Members ONLY. You must have completed registration and General Orientation Find out more about MAKE Roanoke Membership here.

You must have already completed the Wood Shop Orientation. This training is first come first serve, if there are people ahead of you, you may be asked to wait.

Completing this orientation will unlock some of the red level tools in the Wood Shop, including:

• Jointer
• Planer
• Table Saw
• Miter Saw
• Router Table
• Scroll Saw
• Electric Hand Planer
• Hand Routers
• Angle Grinders
• Circular Saws
• Drum Sander
• Bench Grinder

NOTE: We will not get to all the tools in 1 session, priority will be given to tools where multiple people want training. Multiple sessions will be needed to get fully signed off.

Preference on which tools are trained will be given to class attendees.

Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:

• All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the wavier must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time at https://mkroa.org/waiver
• Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
• You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
• Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
