What we’re about
MakeHaven is a gathering place and workshop for makers, creators, tinkerers and dreamers. The environment supports the development of and collaboration on a wide variety of projects, including: mechanics, electronics, crafts, digital art, biology and woodworking. Through cooperative projects led by MakeHaven members the project and program participants gain a greater understanding of how to create, repair and reuse items. In addition to project-oriented activities the general public will benefit from skill building workshops hosted in the space.

This low-key, family-friendly gathering is the perfect chance to:
- Get creative with a variety of scrap materials
 - Work side-by-side on fun, open-ended projects
 - Meet other families who love to make, tinker, and dream big
 - Chat about future family meetups and ways to bring more making magic to kids at the makerspace.

Jeremy will be here to help with wood cuts and projects, and Ash is available to assist with all kinds of maker creativity.
All ages are welcome, but activities are most suitable for those 5+ —just bring a guardian to supervise and join the fun. Those under 5 are also welcome; we will just modify for this age group. If you have any crafty supplies or scraps to add to the mix, feel free to bring them along. And if you may need some snacks at this time of day, you are welcome to bring and use our kitchen as needed. Let’s get scrappy!
