About us
MakeHaven is a gathering place and workshop for makers, creators, tinkerers and dreamers. The environment supports the development of and collaboration on a wide variety of projects, including: mechanics, electronics, crafts, digital art, biology and woodworking. Through cooperative projects led by MakeHaven members the project and program participants gain a greater understanding of how to create, repair and reuse items. In addition to project-oriented activities the general public will benefit from skill building workshops hosted in the space.

Knot Just Knitting: Crochet, Embroidery and more

Join host and textile facilitator Denise for a cozy monthly gathering dedicated to the art of fiber and thread. This meetup is designed to be an inclusive haven where you can slow down, dive into your latest project, and enjoy the company of fellow makers. Whether you are a master of the needle or just picking up a hook for the first time, you will find a supportive and friendly environment to create and relax.
What to Expect- Dedicated Project Time: Enjoy a generous block of time to make progress on your current work-in-progress or start something entirely new in a focused, creative atmosphere.
- Skill Sharing & Troubleshooting: This is a wonderful opportunity to learn a new stitch, get help with a tricky pattern, or exchange favorite tips and shortcuts with other crafters.
- Heartfelt Connection: Beyond the crafts, these sessions are about building a vibrant community. Enjoy engaging conversations, brainstorm future projects, and connect with neighbors who share your love for handmade textiles.
What to Bring
- Your Projects: Please bring your knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops, and whatever yarn or thread you are currently working with.

This is a dedicated work session for folks currently in the process of seeking or writing grants. We provide the tables and the quiet accountability to help you stay on track. While this is not an instructional class on how to write grants, it is a great place to bounce ideas off other writers, share resources, and make real progress on your applications alongside peers who understand the hustle.
What to Bring- Your Laptop: Or any notebooks and materials you need for your specific application.
- Current Projects: Bring the grant you are currently working on or the ones you are researching.
- A Spark of Focus: We provide the space, you provide the momentum!
Who Should Join
