Marion Audubon Society

Join Marion Audubon's President, Kent Weakley as we walk around the park looking and listening for birds. We will identify what we find and teach you how to identify birds on your own.

This location is ideal for birders of all levels, especially for beginners and wildlife photographers.

Bring binoculars and a camera if you have them. We will have extra binoculars to lend for the walk.

Join Marion Audubon on a guided bird walk. Marion Audubon's vice president Max Weakley will lead a walk along the levi as we look for wintering birds and fall migrants in the marsh and along the trail.

Please bring water, bug spray, hats, and sunscreen.

LOCATION:
We will be meeting at the parking lot on SE Hwy 464C. It's across the road and just east of the Dam Diner. See pin below.

Join Marion Audubon Society on a guided bird walk at Hague Dairy. Meet walk leader Tim Hardin of Alachua Audubon at Hague Dairy in the grassy parking area near the classroom. This is on the western side of the complex marked with a sign labeled classroom parking and is right across from the painted sign of a gator milking a cow.

This is a very unique habitat as it is a working dairy farm. Please be respectful of the people that are working at the time of our walk. Also, remember, it's a dairy farm, wear appropriate shoes.

We have the potential to see late migrants and shorebirds. Many rare birds have been found at this location.

Join Michael Warren and Marion Audubon for a morning hike along the newest trail at Silver Springs State Park, the Ross Allen Boardwalk.

Michael is a member of the Board of Directors for Friends ofSilver Springs State Park. He is also an excellent birder and will give us the grand tour and help us to locate and identify the birds seen on the walk.

Admission to the park

• $2 per person for entrance to the park.

This park entrance does not open up until 8 AM. The walk is scheduled at 8:30 intentionally because of that.
