This is a group for Australians and English speaking expats living in Tokyo, learning Japanese and wanting to socialize with local Japanese people.
このグループは、東京に住んでいて、日本語を勉強しているオーストラリア人や英語話者で、地元の日本人と交わりたい、日本語を話したい人のグループです。(＊日本人の方は、このページの最後の注意書きを必ずご覧ください。）
We are an international couple, Australian husband and Japanese wife, trying to create an international place to be outside work/school or home.
オーストラリア人と日本人の国際結婚夫婦が、仕事、学校、家庭以外のインターナショナルな第三の居場所をクリエイトしています。
We rent a small cafe in order to regularly have a language exchange with local Japanese people, to practice speaking Japanese.
日本語を練習するために、小さなカフェを借りて、地元の日本人とランゲージエクスチェンジをしています。
We speak in English for one hour with Japanese people learning English, and another hour in Japanese.
英語で１時間話した後、日本語で１時間話します。
Let's speak Japanese with Japanese people!

Our main group is called "Mark House Language Exchange Cafe Tokyo", and our event name is "Language Exchange Cafe Tokyo-Meet new Japanese friends".
All our events are actually listed in the following link, but we sometimes list the same events here to balance the nationalities of the participants.

こんにちは！We are renting a cafe in Otaku, Tokyo, just near where we live to have a language exchange cafe to practice speaking Japanese.
にほんごをれんしゅうするために、とうきょうと、おおたくに ちいさなカフェをかりています。
We usually have it on Saturdays.
どようびに あっています。Craig is from Dorrigo, NSW, and I (Masako) am from Tokyo.
クレイグは、NSWしゅうのドリゴしゅっしんで、まさこは、とうきょうしゅっしんです。
We lived in Sydney, but moved to Japan 12 years ago.
シドニーにすんでいましたが、１２ねんまえに、にほんに きました。
Craig just passed N4 in JLPT(Japanese Language Proficiency Test) and needs to practice speaking!!
クレイグのにほんごレベルは、JLPT N4ですが、いまは はなすれんしゅうをしています。
There are usually participants of different levels and nationalities.
ちがうレベルのさんかしゃや いろいろな くにのひとが きています。
If your Japanese is not at conversational level yet, a volunteer Japanese teacher will give you a small lesson on the spot, as long as you let us know beforehand.
It's a small cafe with limited seats.
We actually have another group called Mark House Language Exchange Cafe, regularly listing events called Language Exchange Cafe Tokyo-Meet new Japanese friends!
However, we sometimes list the same event here to balance the number of English and Japanese speakers.
