Winter Solstice Potluck Party
Doors open at 5:30 – potluck supper at 6:00. Please bring an item for the potluck (labelled, in case of food allergies). Make it a GREEN party! Let’s try to minimize the amount of garbage we create. If you can, please -bring your pot luck items in reusable dishes. -bring your own plates, cups, cutlery, and napkins. -take everything home with you to wash after the party. Optional – Bring your own bottle. We have a liquor licence for the party, but we will NOT be selling drinks. As per the terms of the license, all booze brought to the party must be UNOPENED and have been purchased in Manitoba (i.e., not at the duty-free shop on your last vacation), and you must bring the receipt with you or it will not be allowed in. Optional – Bring your favourite board games. Norwood Community Centre is close to St Mary’s Road, just south of Marion. **DISCLAIMER: HAAM takes no responsibility for illness, loss of limb, or horrible death from anything you choose to eat at a potluck. Contents may contain nuts, gluten, chicken pox, or awful (or great) cooking... eat at your own risk!**

    What we're about

We are a secular non-profit organization of atheists, agnostics, and secular humanists, who believe in rational thought and science, and reject any supernatural requirements for a deity. We meet regularly to socialize, to exchange ideas and expand our knowledge through speakers on a variety of topics.

Please note that being a "member" of this Meetup group does not make you a member of HAAM; there's a small yearly fee to become a member ( Our regular monthly meetings are open to members and non-members alike, but our book club meetings and roundtable discussions are for members only, as is our extensive lending library.

You can read our position statements ( to get a better sense of our values as a group. Please note that you do not have to agree with all of them in order to be a member.
