What we’re about
The ancient wisdom of Buddha Shakyamuni has been brought into the modern world by Buddhist master and scholar, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, to solve our daily problems while on a spiritual path that leads to enlightenment. Hear teachings that deeply touch the heart while expanding our capacity for love and compassion. Attend chanted prayers to become acquainted with the Buddhas who grant us blessings and guide us. Come to our events as a drop-in visitor or stay to become part of a harmonious community of new and long-time Buddhists who put the teachings into practice. Everyone is welcome!

https://meditateinolympia.org/transcending-the-ordinary/Many of us have the wish to help others and the world, but we don’t know how to accomplish this successfully in daily life. Bodhisattvas are friends of the world, which means that they care about everyone. Through the force of their compassion, they engage in special practices, called the six perfections, that enable them to transform all their activities into methods to benefit others. We’ll learn how to develop beneficial intentions that will help us to bring a bodhisattva mindset into all of our daily activities.
