This outing is here to spread the joy of chess and spades while connecting, growing, and competing playfully. Bring your lucky deck of cards and chessboard board and let's throw down. If you have never played before then even better, just bring your open mind & heart - the rest will take care of itself.

Although Spades is preferred, feel free to play any other non-gambling game
with friends!

Some chessboards and card decks will be provided, so no worries if you don't have you own.

The general environment is encouraging towards learning and anyone who wants to play or learn to play are welcome.

CHESS AND SPADES UPDATES

Moving forward, there won't be Chess and Spades at the Corner Beet. We will shift to the Cheesman Park Picnic Area (north west park of the park) There are some picnic tables there to play on, but bring anything you'd like to make hanging out in the park more comfortable, including mats, food, drinks, blankets, games, etc
