What we're about

The Sacramento Valley Awakening to Spirit (ATS) Group is a spiritual community of soul-connected people who desire to transcend their egos and wake up to their connection with Spirit.

The ATS Group has met for 18 years, but is just now becoming a meetup group. People attracted to this group are drawn to mystics and spiritual teachers such as: Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh, Deepak Chopra, Gangaji, Adyashanti, Jack Kornfield, Jon Kabat Zinn, and the Dalai Lama, among others.

The Sacramento Valley Awakening to Spirit (ATS) group originally met in Sacramento but for the apst 7 years has been meeting in Davis. It consists of one monthly, two-hour gathering on the third Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Group gatherings always begin with a group meditation. Thereafter, there may be discussion of a nondual spiritual book or teaching/teacher, a guest presentation, an experiential practice to more deeply help participants connect with the essence of who they are, an i-Rest practice (see www.irest.us), or a group discussion about what is currently feeding group participants' spiritual journeys and what is challenging their sense of meaning, greater life purpose, or sense of connection with Self, others and Spirit. The group supports participants’ spiritual practices.

The group has its own website, and the blog posts provide updates for upcoming gatherings. www.awakening2spirit.org

Facilitator, Deborah Cohen, LMFT, has been stuyding nondual spiritual teachings in depth for over 25 years. She is also trained in body-based psychotherapies and spiritual work.

Introduction and Orientation to the Awakening to Spirit Online Group

Link visible for attendees

As the longtime facilitator of the Awakening to Spirit Group, (almost 20 years),and after a 6-month hiatus, I am back to offer monthly Zoom meetings. Most of you have signed up within the last two-three years since the group went online, and most of you have never attended a session. This session is for you to check out the group and what I will provide for you.

I will first guide you in a 15-20 minute guided meditation, followed by an introduction to what I plan to offer during upcoming monthly sessions, followed by Q & A and discussion.

You can also learn more about what this group is all about at the website
