About us
Have you wanted to try mindfulness meditation but never really understood what it is or how to get started? Or have you tried it but have found it hard to continue?
Then this group is for you. We'll begin with an introduction to mindfulness meditation over 4 weeks and expand from there.
Mindfulness meditation develops two qualities that have a beneficial effect on our lives. It increases our awareness of what is really going on for us—what we are thinking and feeling that we may not even realize. And it helps us create a calm space where we can open to a clearer wisdom and knowing.
Each week, we will focus on a particular aspect of the meditative experience:
Oct. 12th – Mindfulness of breath
Oct. 19th – Mindfulness of body
Oct. 26th – Mindfulness of thoughts
Nov. 2nd – Mindfulness of emotions
Join us to learn or revisit a meditation practice that can help sustain you through all of life’s ups and downs.
Everyone with an interest in meditation is welcome, regardless of identity, orientation or background.
