What we’re about
This group is all about Hiking and meeting people. I used to lead hikes in the Flagstaff Hiking club back in 2017 and really enjoyed it and met friends that I still have today. I moved back to Flagstaff in July of 2022 and am passionate about making this group successful. I'm an avid hiker and want to hit all the trails. I plan to do the standard hikes both in Flagstaff and Sedona and a few that are lesser known. Possibly a few destinations further away. Dogs are welcome unless otherwise noted! If you have a love for hiking and meeting people then this group is for you!
I have also started a Facebook group called Flagstaff psycho hikes and paddle pics
https://www.facebook.com/groups/563924679219364/permalink/568332972111868/?mibextid=Nif5oz
for high resolution photos of our hikes. Please join that if interested in seeing high quality photos as meetup only allows low quality photos to be posted
The Pledge Donation button that you see goes towards the fees for the meetup site. It costs about $225 per year to use the meetup website and keep the group going. Any excess money received over that amount will be used on a BBQ/party outing for the group.

Spencer Trail - Dominguez Pass Dry Loop @ Lees Ferry - 8 miles of Psycho Terrain
Location not specified yetHello Psycho Hikers,
I am so excited to do this hike! We did part of this hike last year and now we will make a loop out of it for the first time. Last year we saw big horned sheep and Condors. This trail is an old mule trail that was built by 2 guys in 1910. The views are beyond stunning of the Colorado river and beyond! The loop gives you 2100 feet of climbing. You can see all the way to Page, AZ. It's a little less than a 2 hour drive from the Safeway by the mall. Here are directions if you choose to drive yourself.

Lodging Accommodations - Some of you may choose to stay overnight at Lees ferry lodge. There is a cool wash trail called Cathedral wash you could do on Sunday. Check our Vermilioncliffs.com for lodging accommodations.
I will be driving a Lime Green Tacoma(can’t miss it). If you are interested in carpooling from Flagstaff please post below in the comments section.
This hike will be a moderately paced hike. Dogs are welcome!
Please monitor the comments section for any changes to the hike.
Everybody should have a map on their phone or a paper map of this trail. Every effort will be made to keep people together as a group, however you should be prepared to be able to navigate in the event that you get separated from the group. The organizer is not responsible for your safety.
