Elden Lookout, Sunset, Heart trail Loop - 10 miles

Hello Psycho Hikers!,

This is an epic loop with amazing views! First you climb up Elden lookout with a cool 2400 feet elevation gain. Then we cut across Sunset and walk along the ridge to amazing views before descending the Heart trail and then back to the car. It's an epic loop!

Everybody should have a map on their phone or a paper map of this trail. Every effort will be made to keep people together as a group, however you should be prepared to be able to navigate in the event that you get separated from the group. The organizer is not responsible for your safety.

The Organizer of this trip is a VOLUNTEER, not a "leader". The organizer IS NOT trained in first aid and is not a bonded expert mountain guide. You will need to bring your own experience and judgment. If you want to enjoy the benefits of traveling in a group, then we suggest that you stay with the group on the trip.

Directions to the Trailhead: Take Highway 89 north east out of Flagstaff toward Page. One half mile beyond the Townsend/Winona Road intersection (a little over two miles north of the Flagstaff Mall) a short Forest Road (FR 9139) turns west off the highway. This takes you to the trailhead.

This hike will be a moderately paced hike. Dogs are welcome!
