Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out, this group is for anyone who enjoys the beauty of outdoor painting. Join us for regular painting sessions at scenic locations throughout the Bay Area to practice your skills, meet fellow artists, and share in the joy of creating art in nature. All mediums and skill levels are welcome. Let's come together to immerse ourselves in the vibrant art culture of the Bay Area and inspire each other to create stunning works of art!

Join us every Monday to sketch, paint, and enjoy the outdoors while exploring Pacifica’s beautiful coastline. We’ll rotate between scenic locations such as Rockaway Beach, Mori Point, Linda Mar Beach, Mussel Rock, and other nearby favorites, giving us fresh subjects and new inspiration each week.
From dramatic cliffs and rolling waves to wildlife, coastal light, beaches, and ocean views, every location offers something unique. Whether you enjoy landscapes, seascapes, urban sketching, or simply practicing outdoors, you’ll find plenty to inspire you.
This is a relaxed, no-pressure meetup for artists of all skill levels. Arrive when you can, leave whenever you’d like, and paint at your own pace. The goal is simply to spend time outdoors, improve our skills, and enjoy painting together.

Let’s Paint in the Japanese Garden
Japanese Tea Garden, 75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive, San Francisco, CA, US🎨 Plein Air Painting at the Japanese Tea Garden
Join us for a relaxed morning of plein air painting at the Japanese Tea Garden from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM!
Entrance is FREE, so come enjoy a beautiful morning surrounded by peaceful garden paths, Japanese architecture, lush greenery, bridges, ponds, and beautifully shaped trees.
There will be plenty of wonderful motifs to choose from — the pagodas and tea house, reflections in the water, winding paths, bridges, bamboo, stone lanterns, flowering plants, and beautiful patterns of light and shadow. You can paint a larger garden scene or find a small, quiet corner that catches your eye.More painting options! If you’d like to explore beyond the Tea Garden, you can also set up around the surrounding gardens, the outdoor fountain, or the Music Concourse. Plenty of interesting architecture, trees, people, and changing light to inspire your painting!
Bring your favorite plein air setup, paints, and a small chair or stool if you like. All levels and painting styles are welcome. The goal is simply to spend a morning painting together and enjoying the garden!
Lunch after painting? Yes!
