What we’re about
I would like to start a potluck club, but I need help with the administrative end of it. I need someone who can help us figure out where to meet (without a rental fee, preferably) and how to keep food hot.
I vision is to have 8 to 16 people gather, and everyone bring a dish based on a loose theme. Themes will often be ethnic, but may also be other ideas such as holidays, or any creative ideas that the group might have. I would allow people to choose which dishes they cook as long as they match the theme , but I would also try to make sure we have some people making desserts and a blend of meat and vegetarian dishes. I would ask for one dish per attendee, so if you wish to bring your kids, that’s fine but make sure between you all you cook one dish per person.
If you are interested in helping me figure out a practical location to host or any other of details about this club, please message me. My parents have been part of the cooking club for 50 years, and it is fun to have people have a chance to dine together banquet style.
