About This Group
If music has always been a big part of your life, I think you’ll feel at home here.
I’m new to the Boulder/Nederland area, and at this point in my life, I’d really like to meet like-minded people who genuinely love music, want to see great concerts, and enjoy getting together around music.
I’m a huge music lover and love all genres, although I probably listen most to music from the ’60s and ’70s. Growing up in the ’70s, there was music playing in our house nonstop thanks to my mom, and that love of music never stopped.
I also grew up around the performing arts. As a child in New York City, I worked in theater, acting and singing, so music and performing have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Now I’d like to bring together people who share that same enthusiasm for music.
We’ll plan local live-music outings and concerts around Nederland, Boulder, Denver and Red Rocks, as well as destination concert trips to places like the Sphere in Las Vegas and other venues worth traveling for.
One of the biggest reasons I’m starting this group is for people who find a concert they would absolutely love to see, but their friends, family or partner simply aren’t into that particular artist. You shouldn’t have to miss a great concert because you don’t have someone to go with.
Solo concertgoers and travelers are especially welcome. We can connect people interested in the same shows, coordinate carpools or travel plans, explore group hotel rates, plan dinner before the concert, and make the experience about more than just a few hours at the show. A destination concert can become a whole weekend with new friends.
I’d also like to host a karaoke day or night about once a month at my private mountain home in the Magnolia area of Nederland, just up the hill from Boulder. I have a full karaoke setup, and it can be a relaxed place to sing, listen, laugh and get to know other music lovers.
From time to time, I’d also like to include sound baths, live-music gatherings and other creative social events at my home.
You don’t have to sing. You don’t have to travel to every concert. And you definitely don’t have to know anyone before you come.
Come alone, bring a friend, discover some new music, or find people who already love the same artists you do.
The whole idea is to create a community around music, friendship, live experiences, travel and having people to share them with.
All genres. All music lovers. Everyone is welcome.
