Modernizing Denver's Electric Grid for a Zero-Carbon Future
Details
The City of Denver is embarking on initiatives to help modernize its electric grid to prepare for the increased demands of a zero-carbon future. Modernization means updating the electric grid to support the electrification of buildings, which primarily includes EV charging and heat pump heating. Denver's Office of Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency (CASR) is actively working with Xcel Energy and the Public Utilities Commission to guide Denver's electric grid toward meeting our zero-emission goals. Vince Fuggetta from CASR will provide the Denver CRES chapter with an update on programs, policies, and projects designed to guide our city through the clean energy transition.
This event is in person at Odell Brewing Five Points Brewhouse in Denver. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Plan to arrive early for a brief networking period. The main presentation will start promptly at 7 PM. A live stream option will be provided for remote viewing.
