Goth Takeover of Lakeside

Join us at Lakeside Amusement Park to photograph this year's Goth Takeover. This is a fun event with friendly folks dressed in their goth finery and enjoying the rides. The park and the goth attendees provide many unique photographic opportunities.

A note of caution about cameras for this event. Traditionally cell phones and point and shoot cameras have been allowed while larger cameras with interchangeable lenses have been banned from shooting. Therefore, if you bring a camera with interchangeable lenses, I suggest you also bring a backup (phone, point and shoot) just in case. I plan on bringing a small camera with interchangeable lenses and a point and shoot as a back up.

Participants are responsible for paying for their own admission to the park ($10). We will meet at the picnic tables just inside the entrance to the park. Please allow sufficient time to park your car and get through the entrance line as this is a popular community event. We will remain by the picnic tables until 2:45 when we will start our walk around the park. The event runs from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. We set our event to begin at 2:30, but you can obviously come earlier or stay later as you like.
