GO: Bloodstock Open Air Music Festival

The UK's largest Independent Open Air Music Festival, typically boasting over 100 rock bands over four stages over four days (Thu - Sun) with onsite camping and all the usual facilities.... and this is a LOCAL EVENT!

Among this year's main acts are THE SCORPIONS (headlining on the main night) QUEENSRYCHE and SABATON (headlining on the opening night) and literally loads more acts to be announced in due course.

The event is held at the picturesque location of Walton on Trent in Derbyshire, in Catton Park (the grounds of Catton Hall) which is located centrally within the triangle of 3 East Midlands towns, Lichfield, Burton On Trent and Tamworth. The easiest route by car is to head north for a few miles out of Tamworth.

FULL VENUE ADDRESS: Catton Park, Walton-On-Trent, Derbyshire, DE12 8LN, England.

Thursday is for pitching tent and settling in, and your arrival time is not essential. Although there will be some entertainment, the main live music acts will play throughout Friday Saturday and Sunday. Whether we stay at the festival throughout or venture out to local footpath walks and pubs is down to us as a group.

Unlike (say) Glastonbury which is famous for muds and floods, Catton Park has more sturdy soil and a more prominent position with better drainage.

Purchasing Tickets

You must buy your own tickets, and let us know when you have one. The EARLY BIRD tickets are already on sale (usually available until December), and at the time of writing cost only around £140. Equivalent festivals often cost well over £200 for a similar or lesser deal. See Bloodstock website link below for more information:-

Tent Pitches

When pitching tents, there is generally a choice between a party field (all night revelers) and a peaceful field (quiet after midnight/after the last act).

For your hosts, the daytimes and evening will offer enough drinking time, and we value our tent enough to protect it from an overnight trampling, so we will be in the peaceful field for midnight sleep. Please feel free to do likewise, or tell us where you plan to pitch.

REMINDER - PLEASE CONFIRM ONCE YOU HAVE TICKETS
