What we’re about

Hey ya 20s-40s single vegans/singletons open to dabbling in eating all plants with a companion and single veggie friendly invited guests seeking dates in Chicago, IL, or Madison, WI!

If you would like to attend events in either city; adore animals and nature; enjoy hiking, art, music, and educational events; and like to forage for treats at plant-based coffee shops, restaurants, potlucks, or farmers markets come taste our vegan jam!*

Single ally, wherever you are at in terms of location on our shared beloved, beautiful, vulnerable, only planet and on your animal-loving/plant-eating journey, you're invited to join us in having your fruit and veggies too!

Invited single veggie friendly folks including our former classmates/colleagues throughout the Midwest, US, and globe are invited too (welcome our dear nomad mutual best friend back from Israel!, Wisconsin [Badgers], Michigan [right mittens?], Minnesota [porcupines?], Colorado [boulders?], Stanford [redwoods?], and Hawaii [goats; love to our human and nonhuman friends at Magical Creatures sanctuary!]:p).

We organize events with 2 groups (with evolving names) that share our policies:
Madison Ethical Vegans
Madison Hiking Enthusiasts

We also host events with our generous allies in the (other) windy city:
Chicago Vegetarian/Vegan Singles 20’s - 40’s

If you're looking for similar groups, below are Madison groups that we recommend that we do not organize but have Organizers aligned with our membership policies:

Madison Outdoor Yoga: a nonprofit helps fund the group; classes are all free (but donations are accepted)!

Southern Wisconsin Casual Hiking Group (lovely hikes within Madison and close enough for day trips!)

Vegan Test Kitchen (what a fun idea!)

Special thanks to our friends hosting virtual Meetups/support groups in Colorado, Boston, Connecticut, California, Florida, and Toronto!

Links to the aforementioned, Wisconsin/accredited sanctuaries, and our top Chicago and Madison area vegan restaurants are coming soon. (Please check our Madison site in the meantime, or you may DM us with questions.)

Please Read Our Policies Before Requesting to Join:

1. Help us recognize/find you at events by uploading a group pic that shows your face and using your name on your profile.
2. Ask for consent, e.g., let members know you want to take pictures.
3. We are intersectional, LGBTQIA+ allies with zero tolerance for bigotry and misogyny. Nonallies are banned.

*Please note the nature of our group has changed to align with its original purpose; we've consolidated our other groups; and updates were sent to members via email and posted in Discussions.

Meetup asks all singles groups to note they do not support unseemly (paraphrasing) pickup tactics.
