Whether you’re Team Seedless or a "spit the seeds" traditionalist, there’s a melon out there with your name on it. Just a fair warning: come ready for a workout! I’ve been practicing my heavy lifting, but unless you want your watermelon to stay in the dirt, you might need to bring some muscles too. Let’s grab the fruit we crave and enjoy some sunshine before the real humidity arrives!

FYI: Just a heads-up that the field is about an hour away! If you don’t have your own wheels, feel free to coordinate a ride—just make sure to throw a few bucks toward your driver's gas tank to keep the good vibes rolling.

The excitement does not stop at the water's edge. Once our river journey ends, we are keeping the energy alive with an epic tailgate party right in the parking lot. Fire up the grills, unpack your coolers, and share stories of your river ride with fellow tubers. Friday, July 3rd: The Tijuana Kickoff

• 5:00 PM – Border Meetup: We meet up right in front of the McDonald’s by the border.
• Group Crossing: We will cross the border together as a pack and walk over to our designated lodging for check-in.
• 8:00 PM – Night Tour: After freshening up, we gather under the world-famous giant arch.
• Avenida Revolución: We will explore Tijuana's main strip, diving into local bars, secret alleyways, and fun vibrant shops.

Saturday, July 4th: Coastal Views, Camels & Rosarito Energy

• Morning – Breakfast by the Wall: Start the day at the beach right next to the border wall. Choose a local restaurant to enjoy breakfast while taking in the views of the coast.
• Midday – Tijuana Relaxation: Head back to the downtown area to relax. This is a great time to browse the souvenir shops for unique finds to bring home.
• 3:00 PM – The Scenic Route: Regroup under the famous arch and head to the nearby transit point to catch a local van. Enjoy the vibrant, scenic ride down the coast toward Rosarito.
• Late Afternoon – Rosarito Beach Exploration: Keep the sunscreen handy for the sunset. Explore the lively shops and decide on a beachside camel ride adventure.
• Wristband Pickup: Stop by the world-famous Papas&Beer kiosk to pick up wristbands for the evening's festivities.
• The Seafood Feast: Board a shuttle for a culinary highlight. Options include visiting a local seaside fishing community for regional specialties or heading to the famous lobster village for an unforgettable feast.
• Night – Beachside Celebration: Head back to Rosarito Beach to enjoy the evening. Experience the festive atmosphere at the beach club venue with music, dancing, and drinks.
• Late Night – Group Return: Regroup as a team for a safe journey back to the lodging in Tijuana.

Sunday, July 5th: Final Breakfast & Farewell

• Morning – Farewell Meal: Gather one last time for a final group breakfast to fuel up for the journey back.
• The Crossing Home: Head back toward the border to cross over to the American side.
• Farewells: Share a final round of goodbyes and head home with fond memories of a unique weekend experience.
