About us
Welcome to the Mind-Body Healing Meetup for Chronic Pain/Health Challenges. This group is for anyone seeking support in navigating persistent symptoms, including, but not limited to pain, fatigue, CPS, CFS, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, central sensitization, insomnia, PTSD, dysautonomia, digestive issues, IBS, food/chemical sensitivities, MCS, long covid, POTS, post-exertional malaise, post viral fatigue, MCAS, migraines, and any of the numerous diagnoses and conditions that can arise from and sustain through nervous system dysregulation, overwhelm, and stress. When traditional medical models, as well as many alternative therapies, come up short for addressing chronic health issues, we often find ourselves navigating a complex and isolating quest to find answers, hoping to heal or simply better manage/survive our increasingly overwhelming day-to-day life demands.
The intention of the group is to offer healing support through social connection and community building, while also providing experiential practices to engage neuroplasticity, also connected to bioplasticity, to facilitate symptom reduction and transformation.
Modern neuroscience and emergent research is highlighting the power of specific mindfulness-based tools and practices that can harness the body-mind's natural healing abilities. While these practices are effective, it can be difficult to feel any progress or momentum as we work through the complexities on our own. This journey toward healing can thereby become exhausting in itself, as we often find ourselves increasingly isolated and less connected to community, sources of activity, engagement, and joy. This group seeks to gently interrupt this stress cycle by allowing space for ease, hope, and joyful connection.
Healing happens through community. Together we can share knowledge, experiences, and resources to reduce and/or transform discomfort, promote healing, and improve quality of life through practices such as meditation, somatic tracking, somatic movement, energy healing tools, and many other body-mind practices.
Join us for discussion circles, guided activities, and community events focused on empowering individuals in their healing journeys. Let's come together to support each other in building a greater sense of connection, health, and well-being!
