What we’re about

Mindfulness Grief & Loss Support Group ~ We meet the 2nd & 4th Monday Evening of the Month from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Online in Zoom,

Grief is a natural state of the heart to be acknowledged...It's not something we "get over" though we must "pass through."

Grief and loss appear in many forms and quite often may feel overwhelming. It touches all of us at some point, though often our culture does not give us the time or support we need to heal, leaving us feeling isolated and unsure. Through group sharing that utilizes mindfulness reflective skills and contemplative reflection, we can begin to feel whole and safe even during tremendous grief.

The group is offered on donation through The Mindfulness Care Center a 501(3)(c) nonprofit. No one turned away. We are supported by the practice of shared generosity. If you wish to make a donation you can click here to Our Website.

Facilitated by Rik Center, Co-founder of the Mindfulness Care Center. Rik has served as a Buddhist/Interfaith Chaplain at San Francisco General Hospital and CPMC Hospitals. He presently sits on the Professional Advisory Group for the Spiritual Care Department at CPMC/Sutter Health Hospitals.

Rik has a private practice working with clients around trauma, PTSD, and stress anxieties, trained as an SE/Somatic Experiencing Stress and Trauma Counselor/Practitioner. He began a meditation practice in the late 80s, and is a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, plus he's a member of the USABP/United States Association of Body Psychotherapy.

Rik is the Author of the Book: "If You Can't Change Your Mood, Change Your Mind ~ mindful reflections toward self-discovery."
