  • Ski/Snowboard Jackson Hole Mountain Resort - IKON Pass Resort
Alright, snowboarding/ski season is right around the corner and I am getting excited and ready to "abuse" my Ikon Season Pass!!! What's even more exciting for me...... this will be a dream come true. I been to Teton Village and hiked Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, BUT, I never snowboard at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort before. I have always heard about the amazing snow and the awesome terrains (Big Mountain) and been dreaming to experience it! What's even better this year? The lift ticket is included in my Ikon Pass. I don't have to pay anything extra for lift tickets!!!! Yay! Join me for the trip! Where are we staying at? I booked a place that's within walking distance to the "commuter" chairlift. It's almost ski-in and ski-out. Almost. A very short walk. As for lift tickets, if you have your Ikon Pass, well, you are covered! :) As for food and stuff? I will cook Thursday and Friday night and we can head to Teton Village for dinner on Saturday evening. With the funds we put together, I will also have breakfast items for us - pastries, coffee, eggs, and such. I will also grab some munchies for the house. So, have money for dinner on Saturday evening and lunches on the mountain!~ :) The cost is $495 per person. Per aforementioned, the fund we put together is for the lodging, some breakfast items, snacks around the house and 2 dinners (Thursday and Friday evening). Please budget for flight to Jackson Hole, uber ride to our place, lunches, one dinner, IKON pass/lift ticket and miscellaneous stuff (Jackson Hole T-shirt, anyone?). The reservation is based on FIRST PAID and has a limited number of people (we try to have gender balanced trips). Whoever pays first will be on the "go" list. If you RSVP yes but don't submit payment your spot is not confirmed and I may move you to the "not attending" list without any further explanation because only a payment (not just an RSVP) locks in your spot. Payment Instructions: 1. Log into www.paypal.com (http://www.paypal.com/) 2. Click on "Send Money" 3. Input the email address " [masked] 4. Input the dollar amount of $495 5. If you are fine with cab/uber, that's a great way to get to the house! :) This is a trip for members of this group. All attendees must be a member of Mix Professionals and RSVP here. • Ski/Snowboard in Aspen - IKON Pass in good use!
I loved, loved, loved Aspen Snowmass the last I was there. I had an AMAZING time. It snowed the 2 days I was there, no white out, and .... by the time I come down the same run.... there was so much new snow that it looked like a brand new pow-run! Wow. It was so amazing we wished we didn't have to go home!!! Well, let's go back (for some, first time). There are 4 resorts at Aspen - Aspen, AJax, Buttermilk and Snowmass. I stayed at the Westin last time so was ski-in and ski-out of Snowmass and with the snow so good, I didn't hit up the other mountains. Where are we staying at is actually closest to Snowmass. But, no worries... we are a (free) bus ride away to the other mountains! From the place we are staying at, we are a short few bus stops away from the mountain! :) Included in costs is lodging, Thursday and Friday dinners, and I will pick up breakfast items for us - pastries, coffee, eggs, and such. I will also grab some munchies and other goodies for the house. We will go out on Saturday night for dinner!~ :) The cost is $465 per person. Please also budget for flight to Aspen, cab ride to our place, lunches on the mountain, Saturday dinner, lift ticket/IKON pass, and miscellaneous stuff (Aspen T-shirt, anyone?). The reservation is based on FIRST PAID and has a limited number of people (we try to have gender balanced trips). Whoever pays first will be on the "go" list. • Trips - National Parks, Snowboarding and more!
**Note: The purpose of this listing is to centralize the upcoming trips in one spot. It is not its own event. ** Have you been wondering what's an organic way to meet new friends and relationships? If you are wondering what I mean by organic, think back to high school and college where meeting new people were as easy as 1-2-3. In the last 5 years, I've hosted many events. Of all the events, the weekend-away trips have been the best places to meet people! This is how I've met some of my closest friends and know that a lot of you have too! Here are links to the actual trips/events: Ensenada Weekend Cruise. Click --> http://bit.ly/MeetupCruise Palm Springs Getaway. Click --> http://bit.ly/PSprings Death Valley National Park Camping. Click --> http://bit.ly/JacksonHoleMeetup If you are like me, the thought of hanging out with strangers, freaks you out, I totally get it. I been there!! I still remember my first meetup. It was a rock climbing event. When I couldn't find the group, I almost left. But, knowing I wanted more climbing friends..... I toughened up and found the group eventually. The first meetup was slightly awkward.... then, the second time, it got easier. By the third week of climbing with these folks, it was like I climbed with them for many years. That's how quickly these friendships were formed. BUT, I almost went home because I almost talked myself out of it... Funny how our mind works, huh? Now, trips. I don't know anyone that has been on these trip and had a bad time nor not made any friends. That's not possible. If you are not dealing with anyone else or their jokes, you will hear my bad jokes. haha. :) Anyhow.... I can write much more about my experiences being on your side ... a guest to an event. Join me and a bunch of other great people at the events and the weekend get-a-ways and let the connection begin! Oh, in case you are wondering, I still wonder at times how guests just sign up to trips without knowing anyone. I give you folks lots of credit.... I would have been the type wondering if the cops would find my body, chopped up in pieces, and in some dump. Haha. Gotta say though, you guys have proven me wrong many times over. It's been a great time! Much Love! Anna Your Happy Organizer

  • Death Valley National Park Camping Trip
Death Valley National Park (http://www.nps.gov/deva) is my second favorite national park, right behind Zion NP. I miss the park dearly. Let's visit this beautiful park and climb the sand dunes along with seeing the lowest point of the Lower 48 (Badwater at 282 ft below sea level). There are so many amazing sights at this park that you would be shocked how different everything looks, within only miles of each other. You would fall in love like I do. Here are some photos from my collection over the years: Join us for 3 days/2nights in the wilderness (well, there are stores and shower and everything you need, hehe). There are also restaurant and bars nearby. After 10PM, which is quiet time, we will walk to the bar a short walk away. Now, what does your dollar include? It includes 2 dinners and breakfast pastries and coffee in the morning. Those that traveled with us in the past know that we like to cook steaks, chicken along with healthy salad and carbs to give us energy for our daily hikes. Of course, your $$ also includes the campsite fee. Now, roll up your sleeping bag, dust off your tent, have a cushy air-mattress along with your hiking attires and let's hang out Death Valley NP. Don't forget your bug spray, sun screen and lounge chair. Of course, bring some money to buy sandwiches for lunch and/or to shower. This is a trip for members of this group. All attendees must be a member of Mix Professionals and RSVP here. If you know someone that wants to go, he or she must join the group. There are no "+1"s for this trip. By participating in this group you agree to waive all claims against the Organizers as specified in this Waiver and agree to all the other "fine print" here: (http://www.meetup.com/mixprofessionals/pages/Camping_Waiver_of_Liability/). Your profile must contain an actual and current photo of yourself that clearly shows your face to participate in this event. How to pay: 1. Go to PayPal 2. Click on "Send Money" 3. Send to [masked] 4. Send $85 5. Click on "I am sending money to family or friends" 6. Click Continue and click Send Money. Venmo: Send $85 to [masked] (Please email me your name and email address once you send the fund, Thanks). Communication with specifics regarding the trip will be through email. Therefore it is important to provide a good email address! The reservation is based on FIRST PAID and has a limited number of people (gender balanced). Whoever pays first will be on the "go" list. If you RSVP yes but don't submit payment your spot is not confirmed and I may move you to the "not attending" list without any further explanation. Refund Policy: You may cancel 60 or more days prior to start date and receive a full refund (minus paypal fee). Cancellation 14-59 days prior to trip start date, you will receive 50% refund. 0-13 days, no refund. No pets on the trip. Frequently Asked Questions: 1. Can I pay for my friend who is also coming? Yes. As long as your friend RSVPs separately, you can send in payment for them. 2. What do I need to bring? A full list will be provided a week or two before the trip. But basically you need to bring your personal amenities and tent, sleeping bag air mattress etc. 3. What if I don't have a sleeping bag and/or tent? If you don't have a sleeping bag buy one or borrow one. You don't need a fancy one - a $20 one from Big 5 or Target will do. Or you can ask here is someone will share. 4. How does carpool work? The organizers will coordinate carpool for confirmed attendees based on where people are leaving from, when they can leave and whether or not they can drive. 5. What if I don't know anyone else going - is it weird to go by myself? Not at all! Most people come by themselves to these events and have a blast and end up with a new social circle of friends!
