WE READ EVERYTHING! We are a group of black women who love to read, want to read more, and meet like-minded women. We are here to inspire women to read, share literature, fellowship, and encourage others in the joy of reading. We meet every single month. We are an eclectic group of Black women, and so are our reading selections. Find out more on our website www.mochagirlsread.com

The first one was held in October 2007. Dewey died in late 2008. The read-a-thon was renamed to honor its founder in 2009.

March Extra Monthly Book Selection Discussion: The Butterfly Effect
·OnlineOnline11 attendees from 15 groupsEvent Date & Time:
April 25 at 10:00 AM PST /1:00 PM ESTEvent Description:
Join Mocha Girls Read for a special gathering as we discuss our March Extra Monthly Book Selection, The Butterfly Effect by Charles Najjar.
This inspiring short story reminds us that even the smallest beginnings can lead to powerful transformation. In a world shaped by fear, rules, and limitations, what does it look like to believe something greater is possible for yourself?
Together, we will read, discuss, and review the book while exploring themes of growth, self-discovery, and stepping into your next chapter. As part of our sponsored book commitment, we will also take intentional time during this meeting to support the author by sharing and posting our individual reviews. Mocha Girls Read, we will strive to have five to ten members post reviews of the book on Goodreads or on Amazon. Your voice matters.
Whether you have finished the book or are still reading, you are welcome. Your voice, your perspective, and your presence matter here.If you have a Netgalley account, get your copy here: https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/book/804844
