About us
This is a group for people who are ready to feel more secure in who they are.
Maybe you grew up in an environment where many restrictions were placed on you, and you were given a lot of ideas and rules about how you should look, how you should behave, and what your life should look like.
As a result, you may have grown up with insecurities and uncertainty about how to be in the world. And as you got older, you began to see the impact it had on you in the way you see yourself, carry yourself, and interact with others.
But now, you are ready for something different.
You want to free yourself from all those ideas about how you’re supposed to live and start exploring your own way of living. You’re ready to build your confidence and self-esteem back up, learn to trust yourself, and figure out what feels right for you.
And you’re looking for a group of like-minded people who understand that journey and are walking alongside you. A space to connect, explore, reflect, and build confidence together—without having to fit yourself into someone else’s idea of who you should be.
This is that space, and you are more than welcome here. ❤
The group includes free monthly meetups, as well as paid workshops and seminars. If you’d like to join all events for free, consider becoming a paid subscriber of More Than My Body on Substack.
Love always,

Emotional Eating & Food Restriction: Breaking the Cycle
·OnlineOnline*Paid subscribers to More Than My Body can join this and all future seminars for free*
Have you ever thought:
“If I let myself eat what I want, I’ll completely lose control.”
“I can’t keep certain foods in the house because I know I’ll eat them.”
“I know I shouldn’t eat this because once I start I won’t be able to stop.”
Many of us have learned to believe that the answer to feeling out of control around food is more restriction.
We create rules about what we can and cannot eat.
We try to eat less, be “good,” avoid certain foods, and rely on willpower to keep ourselves in check.
And sometimes, the more we restrict, the more we think about the very things we're trying not to eat.
But what if restriction isn't actually creating control?
What if it's creating a relationship with ourselves where we don't trust ourselves to make our own decisions?
And what if the way out isn't learning to control ourselves better, but learning to trust ourselves?
This seminar is about exploring what happens when we stop treating ourselves as something that needs to be controlled.
We'll explore:
- Why restriction can make the things we want feel even more powerful
- How our beliefs about food and ourselves influence the way we behave
- How allowing ourselves freedom can change the way we relate to the things we once felt we needed to control
- How curiosity can create a different relationship with ourselves than fear and restriction
After the talk, we'll have time for reflection, discussion, and sharing experiences, so bring a pen and a journal (or whatever you like to write on :)) 📝
This seminar is based on my own personal experience of spending years restricting food, being afraid of losing control, and obsessing over what I could and couldn't eat.
After finally reaching a point where I was willing to stop restricting myself and see what happened, I began to experience something I had never expected: the possibility of trusting myself around food.
I’m sharing what I learned from that experience and the questions it raised for me, while creating space for us to explore those questions together.
I am not a therapist, dietitian, or healthcare professional, and this event is not therapy or a replacement for professional support. It is a lived-experience-based conversation about food, restriction, self-trust, and the beliefs we develop around ourselves.
###
Who is this for?
This seminar is for you if you are ready to:- Let go of the rules and restriction that keep you feeling out of control
- Trust yourself around food instead of constantly monitoring and controlling yourself
- Question the beliefs that keep you stuck in restriction and fear
- Explore what more freedom around food could actually look like
- Build a relationship with yourself based on trust rather than control
###
Who is this not for?
This seminar may not be the right fit if:- You are looking for a quick fix or a simple solution to your relationship with food
- You are not open to questioning your current beliefs about food and control
- You are looking for professional treatment or clinical support
Changing the way we relate to our bodies and food requires curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to question ideas we've believed for a very long time. This seminar is an invitation to do exactly that.
- Please be aware that your camera will need to be turned on for the duration of the meetup. This helps us create a safe and supportive space where everyone can feel comfortable.
- Please be aware that this is a discussion-based event and participation in the conversation is encouraged. You are welcome to listen, reflect, and share only when you feel comfortable doing so.

Read Along - adult children of emotionally immature parents
·OnlineOnlineYou know when you read a book and it’s super interesting and you want to share it with someone?
Or when you read a book and it’s full of aha moments but when you finish it you don’t exactly remember what you read?
This happens to me all the time, which is why I thought to create a read along 😊
The way this works is that each month I’ll pick a book to read, and if you’d like to read it with me, we’d get together at the end of week to discuss it, share those aha moments, ideas we liked and are adopting to our lives, what we didn’t like and we would like to hear someone's perspective, read aloud parts we enjoyed…you get it, discuss the thing.
These are mostly going to be self help/discovery, psychology and the occasional spirituality books.
You are welcome to join regardless where you are in the book (or even if you read it in the past) as long as you’re actually reading it. This event is not about discussing ideas from summaries and discuss premises, this is about reading the whole book, you know, old school reading.
*Paid subscribers to More Than My Body can join this and all future read alongs/workshops for free*
